Every time I come in this thread I get mad. Walmart may have just lost my business this year. I do not like this one bit. I have not had to use it but every year I dream of being able to go in and pay off everyone's layaway in there just to be a blessing. So many parents try and work so hard to just put a smile on there kids face. I know it is not about the gifts but remembering my child's smile on Christmas from that one item they really wanted is what keeps me going most days, but I also remember the pain of explaining that this year I just could not do it.

Yeah, they just switched it to the online sales. Have a big announcement but only selling 2-4 with a million people crashing to site trying to get it.

I definitely rely on the deals especially for big ticket items, otherwise I would have to pass on them.

I agree with everything but Orlando. I need to be somewhere exotic but for a 15yo than that will be the world. All of the parks in one week. I am tired just thinking about it

I woulds start to think of substitutions or a non traditional type of meal. Christmas a few years back we did Italian, New years was Seafood, etc. It might be that type of year but as long as we were altogether than it didn't matter.

This seems to be another version of those payday loan rip off locations. Growing up I know my mom needed to use it and without it we would not have had a Christmas. I know a business needs to make a profit but not like this. Maybe during the year but the holidays in out current climate....

I m not sure if they do but I love there selection of toys over walmart. This would be a new market of shoppers that normally would not go there. It would be interesting to see the swing in market share after this year if they do decide to compete for this segment of buyers

It seems like everyone is trying to profit off the American consumers. This is not the case in other countries, but as long as we continue to pay the outrageous prices why should they stop. I bet if the products backed up in there warehouses they will stop this madness. I really don't believe it is a shortage but greed, same thing with oil.
