  1. On the other hand, I am seeing a conflict of information. The ad says Nook Color for $99 and that it is a savings of $60. The Nook on the Walmart website right now says it is a Nook Tablet for $179 which is not consistant with the description or the savings amount for what is in their ad.

Also the one on the Walmart website says it has an hdmi port. If I look on Barnes and Noble, the regular Nook Color does not have an hdmi port and their Nook Color is only $139. While the Nook Tablet is $159 which would be consistant with Walmart saying that it is a savings of $60, but that does not have an hdmi port either. In fact, why would it have an hdmi port unless it is HD, but the Nook HD is much different than the one shown in the ad.

I think I may have to take a trip to walmart today to see what is up. I am confused.

  2. Same here. I wanted to get 2, but I don't know if they are allowing more than 1 per person. Is it considered a "hot" item? How early should I get there to get in line? I just don't know!!! I think it is an excellent deal myself and I was hoping it would fly under the radar so that I could get 2 of them.
  3. I'm thinking of getting one for my MIL who has hip problems. Can you move it from room to room or do you just set it up in one room? She lives alone and I think this may keep up with her dirt. She won't have to use the big vaccum as much.

I got one for my dad last year. He has linoleum in his kitchen and thick pile carpet in his dining and living rooms. He does not have to pick it up to move it unless it gets stuck, but he said it only took him 1 or 2 times to rearrange slightly so it does not get stuck. It moves from the thick pile to linoleum and back with no issues. Just make sure the automatic charger is in a central location so it can get back to the charger without running out.

  4. "Exclusions

Sears will not price match competitors' items that are limited in quantity, offered for sale for less than six hours during a day, or offered for sale during the day after Thanksgiving."

They could at least price match even if they don't offer the 10% off the difference!

  5. Thanks! I see a few things I would like.

The tv deals do seem like they could be better.

Did u see that the Magellan GPS for 119.99 is the same one that Office Max had in their ad for 69.99? Just in case anyone was looking at the Sears one, I plan to go to Office Max for mine.

  6. The last time I bought Christmas gifts from Kohls, I found out after the fact that they refund the lowest sales price to the giftee, even with a gift receipt. Is this still going on? I can't understand how this is fair or even legal. I stopped buying gifts from them two or three years ago when I found out, so I haven't bother to ask them.

That happened to me. I received a gift from my dad, a George Foreman, and I wanted to exchange it for one that was about $50 cheaper with the features I wanted. They wouldn't let me. So I asked to return it and the price they told me was like $50 when full price is $249. I was not happy, I guess he must have gotten it for $50? Maybe he used Kohl's cash? I didn't ask cause I didn't want to tell him I tried to exchange his gift.

Plus, 2 years ago when I went BF shopping there, the one main item I wanted, they didn't have any to begin with! So I stood in line for hours with the couple of other things on my list and when I went to KMart after Kohl's, they had one of the things I bought for half the price I paid. I might still go there this year though cause i love BF shopping so much and it opens the earliest where I go (besides Meijer and Walmart who are open 24hrs).

  7. The one I go to is rather small, so if you can't "stash" the items you want, you need to be first in line. Also I agree with the fact that the employees are not knowledgable. If they don't know where an item in the ad is, they will say they didn't get them in. The checkout lines were almost intolerable in 2007, the registers kept having problems and they were the longest lines I waited in. On the other hand, there weren't as many people lined up outside the store there as other bigger stores nearby, most of the ad items were in the main aisleways and I did get some great deals. I have never been there on Thanksgiving.

Just wanted to clarify the backpack just comes based on your rewards card information? There was no rebate form with it. I also think it's not cash but credit at Staples. Correct?

    Thanks.

    Trish

Correct, you get it back as Staples Rewards, which is still great as I can always find something to buy at Staples!

  9. In the Kraft Food and Family magazine, there is a recipe for truffles and they even gave a page of gift tags that have the recipe on the back to include with the truffles. We are going to do this one I think. There were only 2 ingredients plus whatever you want to decorate them with. Sounds good and easy to me!
  10. Hi!

My name is Sheila. I live in the thumb area of Michigan. I usually do my BF shopping in Saginaw. I have a 21 yr old son who does not live with me, but I also have a wonderful man and live with him and his 13 yr old daughter.

I will unfortunately not be able to participate in the BF madness this year unless I do it online. I was scheduled for surgery on 10/21 and I would have been ok I think to go shopping, but it has been postponed to sometime in November, so I will almost surely be unable to handle actually going to a store. This is going to hurt!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be on here watching all of you get the good deals! Maybe I will be able to hit a couple of local stores (WalMart - after the rush, TSC, Ace Hardware). We shall see. Wish me luck.

  11. My Kmart handed out tickets, I was not getting anything I needed a ticket for, but I did have to go back to electronics and it looked like quite a mess was going on with the ticket system (products that they gave out tickets for were out for display which caused a lot of panic for the people that had tickets), the Kmart people said that they gave out tickets for so many that were in the back and put the excess out on the floor which made no sense to me at all because some people with tickets picked up the ones on display and then that was leaving product in the back that they probably had to pull out later. We have a small Kmart, that might have been the problem.
  12. Here is what is on Best Buy:

PS2 - release 11/18/08, price shows as 49.99 for just the game

Wii - release 11/16/08, price shows as 49.99 for just the game

PS3 - release 10/19/08, price shows as 59.99 for just the game

    XBox released 9/14/08 for 59.99

I don't see any special deals there, I don't know about anywere else.
