  1. Toys R Us tends to add discontinued items to their surprise sales, I would just keep looking for it on one of their 2 day or daily cyber deals. For instance, the Imaginext Big Foot Monster was basically discontinued in the brick and mortar stores, but it popped up on their one day sale today for more than half off the price that Amazon or any other online store has them. Your talking about the playset that looks just like the clubhouse on tv I'm guessing, I'll keep an eye open for you.
  2. Thanks for the information. Do the ipods ever go on sale, or come with free gift cards or anything? TIA

I think so close to Christmas you'll probably pay regular price and they'll have a nice store GC to go with it. My daughter got a Touch for her birthday and loves it. I went refurbished from the Apple Store, I don't see any 32gb in stock right now which is what I would recommend. Try checking in with that website daily. http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/ipod/ipod_touch

  3. For all of you that are having trouble with the BF prices showing online. I just ordered mine through my smartphone, snagged the XBOX 360 bundle and nerf dart tag that I was looking for. I don't know why but the prices show on smartphone, still not showing up on my laptop though. Hope this helps.
  4. Okay, so I already have a Wii don't have a XBOX 360. I want the Just Dance 3 game and they had some other interesting games that I saw in the Black Friday ads. I want everyone's opinion on should I stick with the Wii games for things like dancing games or is the Kinect system better since it's sensing whole body movement? I guess my big question is, should I buy the XBOX 360 w/Kinect for Black Friday or stick with the Wii that I already have?
  5. The other thing that pisses me off is that you can't use them the way you want when you want. Last year, I was so annoyed because they send you these coupons and you have to use them immediately and in store only. I would rather stack them up and use on one of my kids birthdays. Like last year you had to use them in January. I have nothing to use them for in January and the shelves were still bare from the Christmas rush.
  6. My daughter asked for the LPS walkables also. I bought them online at Toys R Us. They were $8.99 for a 2pk (and still are) but they were having a hasbro buy 2 get one free sale. I don't think any other stores carry the 2 pack, when I first saw them at WM they were only singles for $8.99. TRU calls them LPS walking pets instead of walkables, but they have a variety for you to choose from.
  7. Sounds like you have a great kid. I think he'll really like the laptop. They have a lot of cool skins that you can put on it to make it more personalized. I have a daughter that's turning 13 next month and all she talks about is a laptop, mainly because she has to use the superslow family desktop.

Don't forget a wireless (wi-fi) printer to go with the laptop. Maybe some good stocking stuffers would be gift cards to his favorite stores (maybe Gamestop and Bestbuy for the xbox games and techno stuff).

Here's a link to all the xbox accessories http://www.xbox.com/en-US/Xbox360/Accessories?xr=shellnav

X box has the kinect system and something called xbox live that's worth looking into.

  8. This may be a stupid question, but have you just outright asked him what he wants? Then you can add accessories to whatever it is and build upon that. Also since he mentioned room decor, maybe you can pull one of those quick room makeovers and surprise him with that. If all else fails, maybe a laptop would be a good idea.
  9. My 6 year old wants a DS. Is this something that is right for her age? What about this new 3ds? I don't want to spend a lot of money on something that she will be tired of in a month.

Any thoughts on this and deals. Should I wait for BF or should I try to purchase one now?

When you say DS, do you mean DS Lite or DSI? There are I think 4 DS systems out right now. The DS Lite, which is the oldest version, that plays game boy advance games as well as the regular ds games. Then the DSI came out and this has a camera and you can play online, but you can't use older gameboy advance games. Then the DSI XL came out and this just has a wider screen. Finally, the 3DS is 3D without the glasses.

Just wanted to let you know your options, in response to your question, I would get the DS Lite if your just looking for a cheap ds system they are a little harder to find, (try the actual stores, instead of online) and they cost $99. The DSI is good if she wants to use the camera or the online gaming and I think the prices will drop on those for BF, if you see one for $99 snatch it up, because I think they're like $149 right now. I think unless she specifically asks for the 3DS go for the DS lite or DSI. The DS systems are good for 6 years old and they have tons of games, she won't tire of that in a month, trust me. Also if you wait for BF be mindful that you might have to be very open minded with the colors. If you want a specific color on BF they might be hard to come by. Hope this helps, sorry so long.
