  2. Invalid link. Likely that promotion has ended.
  3. I am not impressed with this ad. On the bright side, I should be done shopping and out of the store in no time at all.
  4. My mom and I did a lot of shopping online after Thanksgiving dinner, mostly through Amazon. There were some great deals on DVDs! We finished our shopping on BF in stores. First was K-Mart which wasn't bad. Purchased BOGO pajama's, a couple cheap DVD's and 50% off slippers. Then went to Target, $10 boys fleece pajamas, $3.99 DVD's and $14 men's robe. On to Walmart, picked up a couple LPSO's for $10, and a $19 rc car. We didn't go shopping until 4pm so we could avoid the crowds. It was a little shocking that Walmart still had stacks of TV's, and DVD players that were on sale. (There were 20+ 32" tvs and even more of the 42" plasmas.) Target had a lot of cheap DVD's, and other sale items. Kmart had most of the advertised sale items, not just in stock, but in mass quantities. The best part....NO long lines to wait in. We did all of our shopping and had lunch and were home within 4 hours. Not too bad considering it's a 30 minute drive each way.
  5. All Creatures Big and Small James Herriot. I love all of his books, and have since I was a child. The perfect author for animal lovers :)
  6. It depends on the size you need. For my car Walmart only carried one brand, and it would have cost just under $400 for a set of 4. I went to Les Schwabs and bought a comparable set for $270 installed. Your best bet is to break out the phonebook and call around. If you are willing to change tire sizes (a good shop can tell you which other size(s) would work safely on your car) you may be able to get a great deal. Good luck!
  7. We almost lost everything this past year, but thankfully my husband was able to find a good job. Because we have lived through a financial nightmare that lasted 11 months, we are definitely spending less this year. This past year really made us understand how much we could do without, and still be okay. As a family we have decided to scale back on gifts in order to get on more financially solid ground, and that will benefit us all throughout the year. I guess we will be spending 1/4 of what we usually do, so I am hoping to find some great deals to help stretch the shopping budget.
  8. As soon as the Thanksgiving dinner mess is cleaned up I hit the computer. I doover 90% of my shopping online, and have only had very minor problems with one order. If you plan on shopping online, try to spend time on the stores website beforehand so you know where to find things and naviagate around the site. It saves a LOT of time! Good luck! I will be spending another typically cold and wet day shopping from the warmth of my chair and loving every minute of it.
  9. It is just crazy to threaten someone over a sale item! I would talk to the Target manager, and make sure to mention that you would like to give them your business, but since you are pregnant and were threatened last year you are concerned. Being pregnant, you might consider sending someone for you. Your safety, and that of your child, is more important than saving money on a television. IMO Bullying tactics are juvenile and should not be tolerated by any store! A store would keep more customers if they police the bullies, than to allow them to intimidate and harrass others.
  10. I have not seen anything in the ads this year that make me want to stand out in the cold for hours in "hopes" of getting it. I have been happily finding deals online that are as good as, or close to, the Black Friday scans. Stores realize that they don't need to do much on Black Friday anymore, as some people that think they will find an amazing deal are willing to brave bad weather and long lines. The only hot deals that I have seen are on high end electronics, which I don't buy, and a few select toys. I would rather order online and avoid the craziness again this year...and I will spend maybe 5% more than if I had went to the stores. That 5% is the gas and food I would have spent money on anyway....so it evens out. Plus, by shopping clearance sales online early, I am saving a ton of money I plan to be ordering online after Thanksgiving dinner again this year, as I saved around $200 last year doing it....and was warm and cozy.
  11. I ordered on the 22nd. One the 30th I got the order confirmation, and a cancelltion of one item. Today when I checked the "canceled" item was still on my order. Only one item has been shipped (today). The other thing is that my "order date" keeps changing. So much for "Arriving in 5 days" I have also ordered from Walmart, on the same day and got everything yesterday. I ordered from Target 3 days later (25th) and got it today. After this fiasco Kmart has lost ALL of my business, and I will make sure to spread the word. They really dropped the ball with my order (and apparently others).
