Need help with gifts for my 6 year old
Kandy replied to momof5plus1hubby's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I agree, I would put a couple cars in it. Maybe one on each row spread out or so if he has alot of cars already. Then I would wrap the cards and the card protectors together. Maybe in small shoebox or such. -
I go to Calloway Gardens and to another small town to something they call "Christmas City" it started out as one mans home, field and then all his neighbors got into it now they have little shops and hayride.

We do the boy scout popcorn. Its actually better than the stuff in walmart but you pay alot more for it , better meaning fresher. Yes its trails end. My DS is a Webelos so this is our last year selling the popcorn (well for him anyway). I just purchased a $40.00 tin. ( It has chocolate popcorn, carmel with almonds and peacans (Im hidding this bag, lol) and cheese popcorn. This is the first year I've tried their cheese popcorn. We normally just buy on chocolate and one carmel with almonds @ $16 a tin. We got new items that are not on the sell sheet for our Show and Sell- We got a $5.00 pack of microwave and an $8.00 back of microwave---The $5.00 pack is only 3 packs of popcorn and the $8 pack was 6 bags of popcorn. We save the tins and DS has pens/pencils etc in one on his one and DD has alot of art supplies in one.

what to get DH's 80-something Yr old grandmother
Kandy replied to conj's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
my great grandmother just turned 97 and she is hard to buy for as well. I know she likes those lounge gowns, slippers, socks, and that soft pepermint that melts in your mouth (that I can't stand). When she moved from her house to the Nsg Home. There were gifts that she would open in front of you then stash away all over her house that she never used. We found it now best to say what do you need and she will tell you. But there is nothing like a good visit with her as well. She lives 2 hours away from us, the kids sometimes gets on her nerves so when we go we stay about 30 minutes one day and 30 minutes to an hour the next day. -

I see nothing wrong with that gift. I would also add some nuts & pretzels to the basket. -
milk and cookies or brownies and we do the oatmeal on the lawn for the deer also.
-
lottery tickets, picture frames, movie rental with a bag of popcorn or a jiffy pop stove top tin, GC to a Fast Food place
