  1. I fill stockings for my dd 29, sil 35, dgd 10 and dgs 1, plus their little dog. I fill the same stocking for them every year since they each entered the family. They are all about 24" long.

Everyone gets a large apple in the toe of their stocking. DD, I use things like eye mask, aloe socks from B&B, AVON eye makeup remover, a seek n find word puzzle book, gummy lifesavers and she loves sharpies. SIL chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate and this year a Star Wars trivia book. DGD whatever she it into that year. This year some art pencils, an artist eraser, dvd, stuffed animal and some other things. DGS, some little Fisher Price cars, a candy cane, board books and little stuffed animal. The dog will get some treats and a soft toy.

Where did you find a Star Wars trivia book???? My son is a huge star wars fan!

  2. They are pretty competitive with each other so pretty close in price, and they do carry some same and some different brands. But I do believe each of them price matches plus 10 percent, so if you research and find a specific one you want, look around online for pricing (sears, best buy, etc). If you find a lower price, print it and take it to the store with you (they will probably go online and verify it also). Sometimes you get there and they already have a lower price. Oh yeah, when we were stove shopping recently, in-store prices at Lowes were WAY less than their online prices! Our salesperson even called around for scratch and dents at different stores in exactly what we wanted, and when we decided on a nice new expensive Samsung, my hubby asked the manager if he would give us an extra 10% off for going there instead of the closer Home Depot and he did =) (I love Lowe's!)

Almost forgot, also at Lowes in store, sometimes the marked price is higher than their computer ring-up price (when they went on the computer to check if the stove we wanted was in stock, they noticed it was on sale for $100 less than the price on the sign) After haggling, we got the really nice Samsung for $20 more than the crappy Fridgidaire.

  3. now I got a regular invite to the Hallmark one too (had golden key invite before), but after looking at the earlier post about not being able to do with Verizon, I guess it doesnt matter either way! :)

Ooh- I went to bzzagent to check it out, and the "application" is free to download, but "greetings" cost 99 cents each to send. Not sure if you have to pay the 99 cents if you are in the campaign or not? I passed on this one regardless.

  4. I was so excited that my $25 gc came from MyPoints for Kohl's today, there is a shower curtain I have been wanting, but it is not on as good of sale as it was (the regular price is 39.99 and there is no way I am paying that much, it was half off, now it is 27 something), figured I would buy a liner and maybe the matching hooks and use A 30% off code and free shipping and just put the difference on my card, but then I came to this thread and saw the stuff about the free shipping going away unless over a certain amount =( Bummer. I think they are going to get way more returns this way, people will just buy stuff to get the free shipping and then return it to the store which will in turn cost them more
  5. Thinking of hitting TRU this week for the Halo ODST Xbox 360 game to put away for xmas- until the 26th you get a Halo action figure (while supplies last) and a $20 gift card with purchase. Plus, starting the 25th I have a coupon for $10 off $75 purchase so since the game is already $60 I would only be spending a little more to use the coupon and get something else
  6. Logged on to do a report and found an early invite to Softsoap campaign! (no email came for it?) Signed up though.

Also, forgot to check the box that everyone in my report knows I am a bzzagent (my mom was who I buzzed, she is an agent too so she knows I am, just missed the box) and it made me go through this dumb disclosure training thing....

  7. I went to a local target last week and there were boys underwear and socks that had clearance tags but they covered them up with little white square tags and they were no longer on clearance. You could see the orange tag through the white though so they did not do a good job of hiding it

I hate it when stores do that- our Kmart will up the clearance price on stuff and not even completely cover the old lower price with the new higher tag on top- the last time I was so disgusted I left the store

  8. got some cute dinosaur board books in dollar spot at 50% off today and a dog collar and toy too.

most school supplies gone, all at 75% now. Tons of paper left and book covers.

I did get a Star Wars electronic light saber for about $14 (was almost 21) for the Toys for Tots toy run a couple weekends from now- my son is getting into giving to charities now and he really really wanted me to get a light saber so he will be excited when he sees it =)

  9. I checked online, and the price to subscribe online is 13 something, so the 6.99 is a special deal you get for already having been the free subscriber I guess. You also get a "free gift" of a kraft food & family cookbook, but not sure if it is a magazine type one or not? I decided to go ahead and subscribe and see if the ads get a little less or not, figured one year for 6.99 I would give it a chance because I do like a lot of the stuff in it, and wanted to see what the cookbook is like. I guess if it is really bad I can tell them to give me my $$ back
  10. This is the first time I noticed, but my Kraft Food & Family magazine was in plastic with an envelope that had a letter saying it would be my last issue if I didnt subscribe for 6.99 per year to continue it? It said it was my final notice but I dont remember getting any other notices that there would be a charge now. I love this magazine, but half of it is full of Kraft ads which was fine as it was free, but it seems like an awful lot of ads to pay to get? Anybody else feel this way? I am stuck in the middle of whether to subscribe or not?

(Hopefully this hasnt already been discussed and I just couldnt find it)

  11. Reset and/or markdown crews all over my Target this morning! Most everything, except school, was down to 50% and some stuff 75%- looked like they were getting ready for Halloween near the school stuff so maybe it will go down soon (still 30%)

Did score on some things though-

Almay eyeshadow- 1.77 (was 8 something)

Scrapbook aisle tons of 50% off, paper, stickers, tools (at my store, have to grab at 50%, not much makes it to 75%)

Off Lanterns- the big ones- 2.98, still had four bzzagent coupons for $3 off so made 8 cents!

Maybelline 50 second nail polish .87 (this stuff lasts pretty long and dries super fast)

A book in with clearance video games, was 11.20, got for 2.80

    Pretty good trip :)
