  2. I've had bad meat experiences t WM too. If you are in the south, Publix has their Publix young frozen turkey (10 - 24 lbs) for 59c per pound. I grabbed a 20 pounder for Thanksgiving and a 10 pounder to feed the freezer for when we are wanting a turkey in February. If I had more room, I'd buy more!
  3. Sorry, I forgot to come back! I received my order last Monday, the 21st. I got a mousepad, which turned out really nice and a 3-Ring keychain that was MUCH smaller than I was expecting. The photo part in the middle is probably smaller than a nickel, so be forewarned if anyone wanted to purchase that. I put a pic of WDW Castle in the area, so it's recognizable to me, but from across the room you wouldn't be able to see it. All in all, I will probably order from them again (since I have bazillions of credits!), but I'll make sure to order WELL ahead of the time I need them! Merry Christmas everyone!
  4. But it doesn't - I put a $160 dress in my basket and went to checkout and it was STILL $160... Thanks anyway OP!
  5. Will do! On another note - I DID receive my SeeHere Photo Cards yesterday and I love them! Only problem is that on the back, they put all the info (date printed, etc) like all photo printers do - I was hoping to use the backs to add a personal note. I guess I'll tuck in a small note card in the envelope.
  6. I KNOW! (channelling Monica Geller here) My jaw just DROPPED when I saw all the credits I had!!! I did just what you did, I signed up for the 1200 prints or whatever the deal was and the mousepad - as a photographer, I can't WAIT to make a bunch of different stuff! -----and----- My order was shipped on 12/4 and was told that it would be 8-12 business days (plus 3-4 more during holidays), which would put my order arriving on or around Christmas! Are they usually good on the estimation or are they earlier/later?
  7. Aww, I'm sorry you guys can't do it now. I've never posted a deal before, so I feel bad that I got a deal and ya'll didn't... Sorry! I'll enjoy one cookie for each of you who didn't get any! Also, for those of you who DID order and are now worring, add me to that - I saw the other thread (with the Kris Kringle tin) and I'm hoping I won't be cancelled. I have a confirmation number, a UPS tracking # (even though it won't ship until 12/22) and it has been charged to my CC... I think I'm okay.
  8. Me too! I ordered 25 vertical 4x8s for FREE and FREE standard shipping!!! Not even any TAX, which is rare these days... Anyone know how long the New Baby code will last?
  9. I don't remember when I read about this deal, but a while ago, I heard that if you went to 1800 Flowers and signed up like 6 names on the Reminder Service, you would get a $20 Reward code to use. Well I had completely forgotten about it until I got an email today with my reward! Not only is it good for 1800 Flowers, but also 1800 Gift Baskets, Popcorn Factory, Cheryl & Co Cookies and Fanny May! The mind whirled at how I wanted to use the $20! The flowers were too expensive, so I checked out the others, but settled on a box of cookies from 1-800 Gift Baskets: http://a764.g.akamai.net/f/764/16742/1h/www.1800flowers.com/800f_assets/images/flowers/images/shop/catalog/93146Az.jpg You will get 4 cutout cookies, 2 chocolate chip, 2 snickerdoodles, 2 double choc chip and 2 oatmeal raisin for $19.99. PLUS, there is free shipping on this item, so to have it shipped to my house in FL, it is $1.34 after code and tax! Can't beat that as an addition to the holiday buffet! It is Product Code:93146, if you are interested!

PHOTO #3 http://www.gottadeal.com/images/caption3.jpg Bernice just couldn't handle Black Friday now that stores are opening at 4a.m.
  17. Without a doubt - The Complete and Uncut version of The Stand by Steven King (followed closely by the 7-book Gunslinger series, also by King!)
  18. I have an "IN" on BF because my hubby works at our local (non-Super) Wal-Mart and every year around February he requests the day after Thanksgiving off. The managers think nothing of it b/c BF is so far away they don't even know when the date is. So, when we get there, we are cartless (we don't get big ticket stuff anyway), he leads the way and we grab what we want and head an outlying register (jewlery, garden center) and we are out the door within 30 minutes! Then we are on to the next store!
  19. I had a hard time sleeping Thursday night/Friday a.m., so I got up around 3 and started surfing the 'net. I left here and got in line at my local (non super) Walmart. They did a GREAT job keeping everyone in line, and telling potential line-jumpers to get in line. When the doors opened at 5, anyone who was not in the line (but just standing by the front doors in the parking lot's fire lane), had to STAND there and wait for the end of the line! It was great (last year was horrendeous). Our WM didn't have the 8g MP3 players or the dish set that I wanted, but I did get the Samsung camera, sheets, jeans, jammie pants, hot wheels and play-doh. After WM, I had an Office Depot gift card that expired tomorrow, so I went there. Now, never on BF have I seen this OD busy, so I figured I'd walk in, get my $79.99 Kodak camera and waltz out. OH NO! I got in and the line was probably 50 people deep. I walked to the camera and didn't see any Take One tickets that OD usually has. I asked a clerk, he called the stock room and was told that there was ONE left. He told me to get in line and pick it up up front--it would have my name on it. 45m later, i get to the register and I was told that it was sold out. DANGIT! I waited in line for nothing. I walked outside to leave, but came back in so I could spend the Gift Card on something else, and when I walked back in to the store, the lady who said they didn't have any called my name and said they found the one I was wating for!! Yippee!!! So happy! So I got that camera for $50 (after gift card).! Left OD and headed to Kohls. Not really busy at this point--it was about 7a by now. I didn't end up getting a lot--a pencil skirt I'd been eyeing forever, boots for DD and some shirts, but that's about it. My total was $96! I should have got one more thing to get the second $10 Kols Cash. Dernit... Leaving Kohls, I went to JCP. Went over to housewares for the Cooks Meat slicer but they were all out. Grabbed pillows, a photo jewelry box and some Lock n Locks. The line took forEVER.. Trucked these out to the car, then back inside for mroe shopping. Got jeans, tops, pants, etc. After Pennys' (by now it's eleven or so), went to Bath & Body works. I had 2 $10 off $30 coupons, so I got some of the 2 for $20 scentports and lots of wallflowers, split into two purchases. Finally, off to sears. They didn't have any of the $14/99 boots in my size, so I headed back to housewares for the Black & Decker food processor. I heard as I was walking that it was NOON, but thankfully, the guy who checked me out at Tools honored the early bird price on the B&D so I still got it for under twenty bucks. I got home around 1, and let me tell ya--I'm STILL freaking exhausted! I'm going back to bed...
  20. Yep, they do. This is why I was so confused. Once WM put the ad online and I could get more info on this mixer, I decided not to go for it. Besides having a telescoping head (which I've never heard of), it DID NOT COME WITH a whip, a dough hook or a pouring shield. To add a whip and a hook would cost (YMMV, of course) another $30-40, bringing the cost to $160-170. I was depressed when I felt a KA (even a crappy one) slipping away. I was on a mission! Thanks to another thread on GD (over on Online Deals), I saw that Amazon had the 5 quart Artisan Mixer (yes, the tilt head) on sale for $229.99 with a $20 rebate! I hopped over there this a.m. and got one in Cobalt Blue. This one comes with hook/whip/beater and shield! Oh, AND free shipping! So, my deal of the year goes like this: MSRP: 349.99 Amazon Price: 229.99 Minus Rebate: -20.00 FINAL PRICE: 209.99 (well, plus tax, I guess). Meaning that I saved $140!!! I saved MORE than the Wal-Mart mixer costs to begin with. Now, because I still have an older Sunbeam Stand Mixer, which does work just fine (it's just NOT a KA), I can get 2 different of cookies going at one time this season! One for sugar, one for chocolate chip, oh, I can't wait. I'm practially drooling over the idea of seeing the box come off the UPS truck.
  21. I got mine!!!! I decided on Cobalt Blue instead of Metallic Chrome (I don't like the look of SS appliances, and my kitchen is blue). I think a lot of it had to do with talking to hubby last night. At Christmas time, I always put him and the DD first when it comes to 'big' presents. After I told him that I wasn't going to get the KA that Wal-Mart had because it wasn't a good deal and I told him about this deal, he told me to forget about getting him a new computer monitor and get this instead. He joked that he would still get benefits out of this deal (cakes, cookies, etc). Not to get to heavy here, but I think psychologically I have the problem thinking that if I bought it without talking about it, I was greedy, but by getting 'permission', it was fine. Wow, heavy. Anyway, so now I have that Frugal Gal's worst enemy--buyer's remorse. I can't believe I spent that much on something....Oh, well. I'll make some cookies and drown my worries in baked goods! (Another bonus--now I have 2 stand mixers--an old Sunbeam--so I can double-up on the cookie making this season.) Next thing I need to do is figure out how to get the rebate! I'm off! Thanks for the help, ForumFolks.
  22. Oh, I know. I can look at something on Amazon and 5 minutes later its five bucks more! And thanks for the concern--I would never (okay, might never...) screw up bills. But I can go grocery shopping next week! Metallic chrome, here I come!
  23. Does anyone know how long it will be at this price? I don't get paid until Wednesday and I'm tapped out beyond all belief!!! I was thinking of getting the bare bones KA that WalMart is advertising, but I would have to add a whip, a hook and a shield ANYWAY, which would cost as much as this one will !!!! Please help with some info. I am torn as to if I should try to 'fudge' my bills to actaully get this tonight, if the offer goes away at midnight... thanks for the help!
  24. I am drooling over the KA mixer that they have marked to $130, but I read it again and it says that it is a "Telescoping Stand" rather than a Bowl Lift or a Tilt-Head. The model number looks to be K4555WH, but when I clcik on the link on the list that GD has up, it brings me to Wal-marts web page for the KW45SSWH mixer. Does anyone have experience with a telescoping KA or do you think this is just a typo on WMs part? I think that I will buy it anyway (it's not a Christmas gift--too many cookies to make!), and if I don't like it, I will just return it. I have an older Sunbeam stand mixer that still works just fine, but KA is the Cadillac of mixers and I WILL HAVE ONE one day... Thanks!
