I love that it redirects you if you make a wrong turn. I downloaded the Target locations in my POI's. I love seeing the little bullseye appear on the screen whenever I am around a Target. I'm hoping a TomTom is around $100 at Staples. Otherwise I will hit Sears to get one there.

I have a TomTom (we call it Tommy) and love it. I bought it at Staples last year, and it was about $150 with a bonus $25 or $20 gift card. They couldn't get the gift card to work so they just took it off the price. I use it all the time. It is very user friendly. Since seeing mine, several of my friends have bought a TomTom. I'm planning on buying my parents one for Christmas if I can find one cheap enough. I'm hoping Staples has the better price, or I'll be heading to Sears for their TomTom.

Thanks for the insider info. :) Staples is typically my first stop. It is well organized and employees know where the merchandise is.

But I'm also thinking that it'll be MUCH easier to just stay up and shop, than to try to get to sleep (which is difficult with all of the anticipation of the actual event ), and then have to GET up, and drag my butt, so that's why I'm eager to get out there early this year!! 2 years ago when we did the "24 hours of shopping" the adrenaline kicked in and I felt fine. However, when I had to wake up at 3 AM to get in line at Staples last year, I felt like I was dragging.

Honestly, I didn't think the deals were that spectacular. However, for those in a frenzy to shop, it gives you something to do at midnight. It's a filler activity between Thanksgiving day shopping and Black Friday.

How many years have you been going shopping on Black Friday?
cincygurl replied to ChristmasShopping's topic in 2008
Over 20 years...and I'm only 31. :) My Mom and Aunt would take us to Lazarus (now Macy's) every year to get the freebies. My cousins, brother, and I continue the tradition. My Mom stays home now, and my aunt works retail so they don't join us. They said we are "too hard-core" for them. -
As a teacher, I am off that day. My brother who works for a bank takes a vacation day. He puts his request in on January 1st every year to guarantee that he gets it off.

I went to Jeffersonville 2 years ago when we decided to do "24 hours of shopping." We started with CompUSA at 9 pm and then drove to Jeffersonville. We got there around 11. There were a few cars, but parking wasn't a problem. We decided to take a nap since we were driving back to Cincy afterwards to get in line at Staples. When we woke up at 11:45, it was a mad house. Cars parked on the expressway and people driving through the lot in hopes of finding a space. It took us about 40 minutes to get from our parking space to the expressway which is literally adjacent to the outlet. We easily got back to Cincy in time for the stores to open there.

Is the Schuman family DPCI not working? I've tried to access it several times but keep getting an error message. Is there an alternative website? -

Calculator use starts in grade schools now. As a high school math teacher, that drives me insane! I try to limit the use of calculators for my 9th and 10th graders. I actually had a parent last year complain that I wouldn't let her child use a calculator until 2nd semester. -

I was shocked that they had it too. This is a store that usually has very little clearance stuff. I went over to the Electronics clearance hoping that the Personal DVD players had dropped in price (no such luck) and saw the Shutterfly stuff. They had the mug for $3.74. I really debated getting that, but I wouldn't know what to do with it. I plan on using the photobook to make a Valentine's present for my bf. -

At my Target (Cincinnati), Shutterfly went 75% off yesterday. I bought the last 2 picture albums. They still had mugs and keychains. -
Here's a great idea for something to use the $15 off of $15 on. Socks are buy 3 get 2 free. Each pair of socks is $5.50 so total cost is $16.50. You end up paying $1.50 for 5 pairs of nice dress socks. I just did this and came out to be about $1.60 after tax. Great deal!!!

In SW Ohio, clearance stuff is starting to appear again. I went out tonight and there was a lot of stuff marked 30% off including sheets, vacuums, chefmate stuff. The 12 pack of washclothes in Christmas colors (red/green, and blue but not white)were marked to 50% off. -
Is there any way to check online to see if a store still has the Quattro with speakers still available?
-
I talked to the store manager. He admitted that they have them in the back room of the store, but when they are rung up at the register, it says recall and will not allow them to sell them. i might check back after Christmas to see if the recall has been lifted or a replacement is available. I also bought one for my bf and another for my brother. They were with me when I bought them and were looking forward to flying them on Christmas Day. I'm going to hold onto theirs for a while. On the local news, they reported that a higher end helicopter had been recalled but not the Walgreens one. I wonder if Walgreens is pulling them as a precaution.

The blinds were shut and every door locked. We think they were really after the computer system in the next room, and the presents were just icing on the cake. They didn't even take all of the presents. (Ironically, they stole a pair of pajama pants but left behind an ipod docking station.)
-
Has anyone heard that the remote control helicopters in the ad have been recalled? I bought one for my bf's brother for Christmas. However, someone broke into their house on Tuesday and stole all the presents under the tree (including all the ones I had just dropped off on Sunday.) I have been calling different locations, but no one has it in stock. At the last store I called, they said they had them but could not sell them due to a recall. Any info would be great?

Thanks! I finally found it online, but shipping is way too expensive. There is supposed to be some at another nearby store. I guess I will stop there tonight. -

Does anyone know the DCPI or ASIN for the Popcorn Cart on sale this week? I wanted to buy it for my Mom, but it was sold out at the closest Target. Before I went out searching at other stores, I wanted to see if it was available at those stores, but I cannot locate the DCPI. -

I got a lot of great deals tonight. I bought a 3-pk of boxers for $1.44 (originally $9.99), mens athletic shorts for $2.48 (originally $9.99), mens pajama pants for $2.48 (originally $9.99), and Pantene shampoo with free conditioner for $2.68 (regularly $6.99 for just the shampoo). They had 2 of the drills at my store. However, they were still regular price. I will have to keep waiting for them to go on sale. -

Was this on an endcap or mixed in with the other tools? That would make a great present for my Dad. -

I was at the Target in Florence, KY. They had the 4 pack of striped placemats for $2.48. I bought a set earlier when it was $4.98, but snagged another set for the BF. -

I found a pair of mens champion black athletic short for $3.24, regularly $12.99. The women's clearance athletic shorts were also $3.24. Women's were on the 75% off rack, but the men's were mixed in with the regularly priced men's athletic shorts. It might be worth sorting through the men's to find the clearance ones.
