  1. I'm so excited, I received my shirt and I absolutely love it and all the goodies that came along! Thank you Brad and Stationchief for all the great work you do at GottaDeal.com. It is by far one of my FAVORITE sites and I use it all year long! <3 After I pulled everything out I realized there was one more "prize" for me! I received an Amazon.com code! You guys ROCK! Black Friday HERE I COME!!!
  2. Last year my DD had just turned 18 and asked if she was "old enough" to get those HILLSHIRE Farms meat and cheese sets. Needless to say she got a bunch of them. :-)
  3. 1. How much money do you anticipate spending the entire week of Black Friday, online and in stores combined? About $500 2. If you plan on shopping offline on Thanksgiving and/or Black Friday, how many different stores do you predict you'll shop at? Between 5 and 10 3. Do you anticipate shopping online more than last year, less than last year, or about the same as last year? More than last year but only because my son wants computer equipment that is not available in stores
  4. 1. I think Walmart but possibly Best Buy. 2. I will shop both days. 3. I think Walmart will start on Thanksgiving day at somewhere between 4-6pm. I hope they stay at 6 though.
  5. I am for it. I go from one store to the next all through out the night as they each open. In the past I have worked in retail and for me it was so exciting. Your shift flew by and most shoppers are happy to be there. It is unfortunate for those workers who don't want to be there but usually they never want to be there. I spend time with my family regularly. They would totally understand if I didn't come to dinner because I was shopping. They love me like that. They know that the money I have can only go so far and Black Friday allows me to buy more for my children and other family members. If you do not like the early times don't go! Stay home and enjoy your family and dinner. It's ok. I personally don't mind at all. If someone in your family has to work and can't be there, make them a plate and bring it to them at their lunch time. I'm sure that would make their day!
  6. I like Walmart, GameStop, Target, Sam's, Dollar General, Old Navy, and Tanger Outlets. But I will look over pretty much all of them just in case someone else has a better deal on something.
  7. I totally agree! Haters need to GO AWAY!
  8. It was the same for Battlefield 4 for XBox. It had to be HDD space only! It made last Christmas not very much fun as I had bought the 4 GB XBox. Wish I had paid more attention! But I can say FOR SURE that I will not make the same mistake again!
  9. Wow! That's horrible! That person should be fired!
  10. Yes I do. Most of what I buy is for me or the household. A lot of times I get to feeling guilty and start putting stuff back. Then my BFF picks it up behind me and gets it for me or gives it to me and says that it was something I really wanted. Also with DVD's I will buy one or two that I want and give them to my kids to give to me. Then we are good.
  11. I think November 11th so the ads will come out in the bigger newspaper. Usually on holidays like Veteran's day there is a bigger news paper. Just a guess tho!
  12. My best friend, her mom, and her aunt went every year and I never thought anything about it. Then one year she asked if I wanted to go and I said sure. Was early 2000's, probably 2002-2003. Now I can't imagine not going.
  13. 1. I do not think Black Friday is a place for young children. Saying that, I also really hate when people do bring their kids and do not dress their kids properly for the weather. But I am a person who will say something, I'm not rude, I just ask if they want a blanket or if we have a jacket in the car I will offer it. (We always have extra stuff in the car!) 2. Rude. People. Period. Whether they are other shoppers or employees I do not like rude people. And again I will say something. I try not to be rude and I try to defuse the situation with a joke or even just some compassion. If it is their first time they might just be shocked and overwhelmed. However if an employee continues to be rude I will tell a manager. If it's not an employee I try to take the high road and so far so good! 3. Line jumping. It is rude (see 2. above). 4. I do not like having to spend all my time standing in line for something and not being able to get other items I want in the store. For instance, last year, at my Walmart, I had to stand in line for over an hour for the XBox games and DVD's. Most of the other stuff I wanted was gone once I got there. That was a big bummer! 5. Carts. Carts just gum up the works. No one can get thru and it's like a nightmare traffic jam. Also I really hate getting hit by a cart! That just sucks! I carry a bag to put stuff in. Works much better. 6. Also last year I tried to buy something on Thanksgiving online and when I get to checkout the main item I wanted was "removed" from my cart. To me that is like being at the store and someone taking stuff right out of my cart, right in front of me. It's just crazy!
  14. I would love to win an iPad mini! My college freshman child would LOVE it as a gift! Lol. ;-)
  15. I love love love GottaDeal.com and use it anytime I need a big ticket item! Also, before Black Friday, it is the GO TO site for leaked ads and store information! It is the BEST reference site to purchase what you need or want! The site has a Black Friday shopping list you can make by clicking on items in the ads! It is such a useful tool! The charts for the Black Friday ads' items are like nothing else around! The chart information is more in depth than any other site out there and it is done by volunteers! Not many sites have volunteers willing to help create the ad lists, forum topics, and charts, but GottaDeal.com does. Just more reasons why I still love love love my GottaDeal.com!
  16. In my Walmart they rope off a section of the store for DVD's and games and only allow like 10 or 20 (I don't remember the exact amount) people into the area. Although we had to wait in line for over an hour we were able to get all the games and DVD's we needed to get. I guess they could do the same thing with the other smaller items as well. Like maybe they could put them all in Lawn and Garden and only allow so many people at a time. That might work...
  17. I like that idea! Staying in my pj's, clicking refresh, and drinking hot chocolate. Lol :-D I have not ever camped out, I need my sleep too much, but I have stood in line like maybe an hour or two. Actually one year, the first year Toys R Us opened at midnight on Black Friday, I had to stand in line for 2 and a half hours...to check out. It was miserable!
  18. I agree about getting the 360 if that is what your son wants. One thing is to make sure you get enough memory on the 360. Added memory can cost ~$130.00. If possible get a console with 250GB or higher. This is necessary to play a lot of the games. Last year I bought my son the XBox 360 4GB and a couple games. One of the games was Battlefield 4. 4GB was not enough memory for this game and they would not allow you to use a jump drive for it. I felt horrible that he couldn't play his game, which was the one he wanted most. I got the 4GB at Walmart for $99 or $98. There were higher memory console bundles that I now wish I'd have gotten for around $250. Make sure you research the games to find out how much memory they need and whether they can use a jump drive. Hope this helps!
  19. I feel like Black Friday is like a trip to an amusement park or a zoo. We spend weeks planning for BF so we can enjoy it. Of course that means we have a blast... until we get tired or hungry. (When we get tired or hungry we get grouchy, just like the snickers commercials. Lol. ) Anyhoo, for me, it is more of the tradition of being out with my peeps and enjoying getting the best deal. We have a lot of fun and save a lot of money too! Happy Black Friday season!
  20. Wow. I never thought of a binder. I just keep my list of what I'm getting for everyone in a spiral notebook. I constantly use spiral notebooks for every kind of list you can imagine as well as other things like recipes and bill due dates. For Black Friday I usually just have the ad where I circle or star things and add post-its from my lists as needed for titles of games or movies. I saw others messages and I agree: you HAVE to have the ad so you can make sure the item is the correct item and that you get it at the correct price. Always be prepared. Happy Black Friday season everyone!
  21. My son wants a graphics card for his computer and my daughter wants money or gift cards. Easy peasy. I'm sure they'll tell me more things they want closer to Black Friday once the ads are out tho!
  22. A mobile friendly site would be great. I have an iPad that I use 99% of the time. But it will be nbd because I'll just wait 'til my son goes to school to use his computer like I did last year.
