On their FB page you can play a Black Friday showdown game. I think the items in the game are from their ad and what their prices are going to be.

yes, as well as CVS and Rite Aid and of course, Kmart.

Nothing I am going there for.....try again Wal-mart.

Just received their latest magazine. There is an advertisement in it to go to your local BJ's store on 11/12-11/13 and 11/19-11/20 to pick up a special coupon book for black friday while supplies last....not sure if these are additional deals.

There was another news report talking about HP being out of the tablets and rumor that a retailer bought up the rest. This is most likely where they went. http://pr.bby.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=244152&p=irol-newsArticle&ID=1623378&highlight=

Any ideas if Walmart will be having another "secret sale"?
arci122 replied to princess7794's topic in 2011
I believe it. Two years ago there was a large crowd outside Walmart. One of the managers opened the door to see why so many people were out there, they showed them the flyer......needless to say they were scrambling around to see if they even had the items in stock......gotta love the big secret from the employees. -
Are you kidding me? Now they need to stage police outside for all the fights that are going to break out! The parking lot rushers are going to make who was first totally unmanageable. And while people are yelling and screaming, who is going to get the people through the door? Bad move Target, think of a better plan.

More Gluten-Free Holiday Cookie and Candy Recipes Prep Time: 30 minutes Total Time: 30 minutes Ingredients: * 1 cup superfine brown rice flour (source link below) * 1 cup arrowroot starch * 2 teaspoons ground ginger (use 1 teaspoon if you don't like a heavy ginger taste) * 1 teaspoon cinnamon * 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg * 1/2 teaspoon salt * 1/2 teaspoon baking soda * 1/2 teaspoons guar gum * 1/2 cup dark, unsulfered molasses * 1/4 cup confectioner's sugar * 1/4 cup softened butter (1/2 stick) * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract * Extra rice flour for dusting when rolling and cutting out cookies * 1 recipe for Royal Icing (recipe link below) * 1 recipe for Chocolate Buttercream Frosting (recipe link below) Preparation: Preheat oven to 350 F degrees Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper or lightly grease 1. Sift all dry ingredients together and set aside. 2. Cream butter and sugar, beating on high speed for 3-5 minutes until light and fluffy. 3. Add molasses and vanilla and beat until combined. 4. Slowly add dry, sifted ingredients to butter mixture and beat just until a stiff dough forms. 5. Place dough between 2 sheets of plastic wrap lightly dusted with sweet rice flour. Roll out to 1/8 inch thick. 6. Dip gingerbread cookie cutter in sweet rice flour and cut out gingerbread men. Use a flour-dusted spatula to transfer cookies to baking sheet. If the dough should get too soft while you are working with it, just place it in the freezer for about 5 minutes. 7. Bake for 10 minutes in preheated oven, or until cookies are firm to the touch. Cool and decorate with Royal Icing and Chocolate Buttercream Frosting.

When looking at the link Brad posted, it does say it excludes Black Friday....it also doesn't address when they put the price lower, so as someone suggested, keep receipts with you and buy the item cheaper and return with the other receipt.

JCPenney and Sears also have a sale that night!

I look at BF as 'The Thrill of the Hunt' and family bonding time....If they made it too easy, it would not be as much fun. Part of the fun of the whole day is not only getting the bargains, but planning, conquering, and feeling accomplished! I look at all the different open times as a challenge. We try to divide and conquer and prioritize what things we 'have to have' verses 'what would be nice to get'.

I understand your point of view, but do you watch TV, use the phone, electricity on Thanksgiving, someone has to give up their day to work for them as well. I am in Healthcare, hospitals have to stay open too.

I would never think about not going to Kohls on BF.....I do so well there and get another 15% off their sale prices and Kohls cash....never have a problem with getting their rebates timely, and you get the Kohls cash on the pre rebate price!

Thanks Brad, there is hope! Keep checking the site......some say it is an addiction.

Just make sure you brush teeth in am:D We do a group and it works great...then later on when we stop for lunch and all meet, we settle up financially and swap goods. Cell phones are great to call and touch base and double check you are getting what they want. My only suggestion, make sure you don't send a beginner into 'hot' stores, give them the easier ones.
