  1. Kelliedn, That price was actually only announced yesterday as an addendum to the ad, as far as I know. We checked with the store last night to make sure that the price would be honored (since we saw the addendum in another town's paper), and they said that it was across the board. I picked up the recorder too!
  2. I don't have the computer, but it sounds like SpeedStep is activated, like youm0nt said, to save battery life. When the computer boots, tap F2 repeatedly until the BIOS settings appear. Search for the SpeedStep setting, and turn SpeedStep off. Make sure you don't change anything else, as you could seriously mess up the system if you're not careful! When you save and reboot, your computer will run at full speed all the time. Good luck and congrats on snagging the laptop!
  3. I assumed it was always $6-8 on every item in the store. I've only been twice in 3 years, both times it was the same. My Tennessee hoodie is still holding up. When we go back up to Michigan, I'll have to get another one.
  4. I can't wait to see Best Buy, Circuit City, and CompUSA's ads!
  5. When you price match, all you have to do is tell them you've got a comp on the item, before they scan it. Then you can show them the ad. They'll override the price in their register and you'll receive it for the competitor's price! I think if it's more than $20 a CSM will have to approve it, but since they use those PDA's now it shouldn't be too much of a hassle. I do it daily and the savings really rack up!
