  1. Yay, just what we need in Gerogia, above average precip!! Didn't we just have major flooding in the metro? Oh well, maybe a couple extra days of classes off b/c of ice and/or snow!
  2. Really hoping to find a good deal on a home theater system either that includes blu ray or doesn't...don't really care. Other than that DVDs and maybe some Xbox games. Really not much sicne I got a new tv at the beginning of the year.
  3. Home Deopt Ace Target Those 3 we go to every year. Possibilities this year include: Best Buy HH Gregg Sports Authority Dicks
  4. Great deal. If it wasn't for all the flooding here in the Atlanta area I would have already ordered one. But with stuff that needs replaced/fixed in the garage and stuff can't really do it.
  5. They have much "good" stuff on these types of clearances? Obviously it varies store by store. Never really knew they had this type of sale. Might check it out tomorrow after I get out of class.
  6. How often do they have discount codes for this site? Awesome deal though. Just got $105 worth of gift certificates for $11.70!!!
  7. How long are the certs good for? We probably won't be going out to eat again until after the first of the year unless we hit up one palce I am looking at getting one to for lunch one Sunday.
  8. Definitely going to orger a couple things tomorrow. Gotta stop by one of the stores though to see if a wil need a large or large tall in a couple of the shirts/sweaters I am looking at. And if I just need a large I will buy it at the store.
  9. Which store in Ga did you go to? Wondering if it is one close to me.
  10. Haha, good to know. Yah, Iheld off on buying a ton of stuff sicne I/my parents just don't need it. Part of it would be nice to ahve to put around, but... I am amazed though how QUICK people buy the Christmas stuff at places when it is only 25% off and Lowes was almost bare of ornaments/knick knacks/etc when I went back and picked up 2 other packs of the GE LED icicles (shorted myself by 2 and had to go to 2 different stores to get them). I can only imagine what Target, Home Depot, etc will be when they makr their stuff way down...
  11. There shouldn't be any issues returning a couple sets of lights should htere? Ended up picking up 1 set of one type extra and the other keeps blowing a fuse after being on for 10-15 min (that one should be a no-brainer sicne I bought it today and it is obvously defective...).
  12. Wow, possibly 75% by Tues or so? I went and got the last of the lights I needed today so if it goes to 75% next week adn they still ahve anything left that would be useful I would look into that.
  13. You bought the GE lights, right? Those C9s are really nice. I got some of those and put them out when I got home today on the deck. Gotta go get 3 more boxes of icicle lights tomorrow and then one pack of probably C7s to run down the railing on the stairs on the deck and I will be done with Christmas decorating...I think.
  14. I guess I am lucky the lowes near me still had pretty full shelves. Got the lights I needed and my parents are going up there when my dad goes to lunch to look at the GE tree for $100...they had like 25 of those left when I was there. I will probably go back this evening to get a few smaller light sets that I may need once I go through the attic and see what I have up htere.
  15. Definitely going to Lowes before my class at 11 tomorrow. Parents need a new tree, they have 3 that will fit. And if the GE is the one we think, it is a great deal. Though, we may opt for a cheaper one this year and get a better one next year since money is a little tighter than normal with job changes and everything. Also going to get my lights for the gutters and stuff. Hopefully can be there early and get out so I can get the rest of my studying done before my final tomorrow.
  16. OK, cool. I am hoping this deal is still here later in the morning, like 11ish. I ahve to get my wallet back from a friend since I somehow left it at their palce theis afternoon and I can't get it until after 10 so...
  17. Wow, seems too early for clearance on Christmas stuff. Might have to run by the Lowes near me just to check. We ahven't even bought the new lights yet for this year. I am putting those up after my final on Thursday morning.
  18. VERY VERY tempting... However, I am going to be moving into an apartment in the next 3 weeks and also just bought a whole bunch of new clothes and some other stuff this past Fri and Sat. Might be able to go for it though. How did you get a free stocking? Was that with a certain $$ purchased?
  19. That 15'' tv though is perfectly fine as long as you have a cable box or box from DirecTV/Dish Net. Just doesn't ahve a built in tuner soyou can't use an antennae with it. I am tempted to get 1 or 2 of those. One for my parent's bedroom and then the other for either the basement or guest room at their house.
  20. Went to Ace, Home Depot and Sports Authority today. In and out fo Ace in 15 min (spent a little over $60, once rebate is back total of $45 spent): -Stanley tool box for $10 -Stanley tripod flashlight for $10 -Stanley plier set for $10 -Large pet bed for $10 -2 packs fo the AAA batteries for $1ea -Dremel acc. kit for I think $15 Went to Home Depot next, no lines, staff everywhere, no hassles or troubles whatsoever: -2 packs of the 3pk maglites for $10ea -A pack of 4 tape measures for $5 -Husky 125pc screwdriver set for $15 -Husky set of the smaller screwdrivers (for glasses and the really small screws) $5 -3pc aluminum Husky screwdriver set for $10 -Husky ratcheting screwdriver 12pc set for $5 -6 pack of Husky LED flashlights for $10 -Black and Decker ratcheting screwdriver for $10 -2 things of Christmas lights for the deck for $9ea Can't really tell how much saved sicne they only ahve some of these deals around now. But overall spent just over $100 between 2 of us. Sports Authority in andout in 20 min (saved $35, spent $68): -Nice fleece blanket for $8 -North Face fleece pullover for $40 -Nike football $15 Also did shopping online at: Finish Line (free shipping AND $10 coupon code so spent less than $70): -Pair of New Balnce shoes for $55 (reg $130) -Purdue hoodie for $20 (reg $40) Aeropostale: -Whole bunch of clothes for $140 free shipping (saved easily $150) Best Buy (from last Sun): -James Bond set 1 and 4 for $25ea but had gitcards and reward coupns so I paid $15 out of pocket with free shipping (basiclly saved $85 out of pocket!!) So I have had a good week. All I am looking for now is a TV (32" most likely) if I find a deal worth it. And then maybe a couple other DVDs at some point. Also need to get an HDMI cable or 2 and maybe an upconvert DVD player if I get a tv. This year we aren't really doing many presents sicne my parents are getting a new fridge and possibly dishwasher now, so that is MUCH more important than anything else I want. Plus, my bday is in just about 2 weeks, so I already told them there were 3 or 4 DVDs that have come out in the past couple weeks and the next couple I want, and that is it.
  21. LOVED HD today. No lines, great service, 2 thiumbs WAY up. My dad and I got there around 8 (were going to get there at open but that didn't happen). Got everything we wanted easily and had employees everywhere if we couldn't find something right away. Only things we didn't buy were hte Ryobi set and the 17' Gorilla ladder. Mainly cuse my parent's are having to get anew refidgerator this weekend and with money being a little tighter, those were "extras" so no big deal.
  22. Ah, ok. Both are too far for me to drive to unless htere is just soemthing awesome on a really good sale. Plus, trying to get to Alpharetta where I live around Marietta/Roswell is not too much fun.
  23. We have 2 in Georgia? I thought there was just one over in Gwinnett or somewhere around there?
  24. I think we were only missing the Ace ad. So not a huge deal sicne there were 2 things I wanted from there I think and we go to one that is never overly busy.
  25. I have never had any issues getting the sutff I want from Target. When we went last year we got there at I think 7:30 or so after a couple other stops and it wasn't very crowded. Of course, that could be because htere are 2 Super Targets within 15 min drive of the house and 3 or 4 other regular Targets in that same period. And the one I shop at isn' in a high traffic area so maybe that helps...
