    HoneyBaked Ham

We get these hams every Thanksgiving and Christmas, and everyone fights over the bone to make beans. They are wonderful! I've only tried their garlic mashed potatoes, they were just ok IMO.
  2. Weirdest thing I've ever seen was last year at Target there were a few people out there video taping the entrances right before the doors opened. They were really disappointed when the doors opened at 6 and there wasn't a stampede.
  3. If you are talking about the cans of pumpkin, you can usually find at least one box of it with the other pie fillings on the baking aisle. I have this pumpkin recipie that the people at work just won't wait for, so I can usually find it there.
  4. All time favorite: Carol of the Bells, hands down. More recent favorites are both by Trans Siberian Orchestra - Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24 and Wizards in Winter. Love them!
  5. If I can, I would love to participate in the ornament exchange. If not, there's always next year!
  6. Checked at my local Target tonight (Lake Jackson, TX) No such luck.
  7. I love the cookie swap idea, too! I bake a TON over Christmas, in fact, I have already started freezing dough. Too bad shipping is so much or else we would have a mail cookie swap.
  8. I still get a stocking. Of course in my family a stocking usually spills out over the top and onto the carpet surrounding where the stocking is hanging.
  9. Gooey Pumpkin Butter Cake (Paula Deen -- So you know how many calories...) Crust: 1 yellow cake mix 1 stick of butter, melted 1 egg Filling: 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin 1 box (16oz) powdered sugar 1 block (8oz) cream cheese, softened 1 stick of butter, melted 1 egg 1 t. cinnamon 1/2 t. nutmeg mix the ingredients for the crust and press into the bottom of a 9 x 13 " baking dish. Mix the filling ingredients and pour on top of the crust. Bake at 350 for about 45 min. The center will be gooey when done. Top with whip cream and serve! It is a great new take on a 'pumpkin pie' type of dessert. I get requests every holiday season for it, and some people at work even pay me for it! It is super easy though. YOu can also sub out the pumpkin for crushed pineapple and it makes a great summer time version.
  10. I just got back from Target with lots of sales! I cleaned them out of markers and mechanical pencils that my boss wanted me to get for her to take to India with her to give to an orphanage. $0.37/ 8 pack of markers. I also got some pillow cases from the dorm stuff gor $2 each, and a spiderman slip-n-slide for my Godson, reg. $20 for $4.98! Thanks for the heads up!
  11. The sale is on at the Brazos Mall in Lake Jackson, TX. I got something like 16 shirts for $120. I have heard from others that some of the other malls in the Houston area are offering the same. Also, it wasn't just a few racks on sale, it was like half the department! And some sales in shoes and a few racks in womens.
  12. For me, it's usual up at 4AM to get to Wal-Mart when they open. Then I hit all the other stores in my town (Target, Kohl's, Sears, etc) depending on what they have that is good. Then home for lunch and to watch the UT/ATM football game and take a nap. Then back out to another town closer to the big city (Houston) to hit the stores we don't have in my little city. Needless to say I am exahusted by that night!
