  1. I was just looking in the Joann flyer that came today, and they have Cricut Maker bundle for $399.99. Cricut Explore Air 2 for $199.99. And Cricut Explore Air 2 Wild Rose Bundle for $229.99. The flyer says it goes Nov 10-26 and I don’t see any particular date on that page so I’m assuming that price is good the whole time. These used to go on sale on Black Friday for even cheaper, but I haven’t been in the market for one in a couple of years so I haven’t paid as much attention to the price.
  2. Yay!!!! Thanks for the cool prize.
  3. I would love one of these for when I forget to defrost something for dinner....like all the time! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S85TPLG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_LznVDbM8308G2
  4. I’ll give it a try too! I do love the updates on all the sales out there!
  5. In our house everyone loves movies and tv shows, so I'm always on the lookout for those. Video games are usually on the list for my sons, and recently my youngest sons PS3 has been acting up, so I won't be surprised if that is on his list...or a PS4, not that I'm sure that will happen!!! As for me, I'd like to find a good vacuum cleaner on sale. Oh, and my tv shows of course, but those aren't presents for me, they're my reward for braving the lines!!! The closer Black Friday gets the longer the wish lists get for everyone, but that's ok, it gives me several items to choose from according to the sales at the time.
  6. Gatorburg, We do have weekly food ads here, so we're not QUITE that outdated in Oklahoma, just on some things!! But you did give me a good laugh!!! As for the black Friday ads being the same, some stores may have been the same price no matter what state you were in...but I always save the PDF's of the ads to my computer so I can show my mom what's supposed to be in the sales, and I know that a lot of the things in the Walmart ad in particular were higher here when we compared the paper ad when we got it in the mail. Like I said before, it was mostly electronics, but there were also higher prices on some video games, movies, appliances and clothing. Clothing was generally only a dollar or two more here, but TV's and computers were the biggest price difference ............ I know for a fact that last year I bought a video game that was $10 higher here than in the Walmart ad for other states and the jeans I bought were $2 more here. In the last couple of years there have been a few items from the Walmart ad that when you actually got in the store were marked less than the advertised price, but not always as low as the national price. And several years ago during one of the Saturday sales there was a laptop advertised on the internet for the in store sale and when I got to our store I found out they were like $120 more here in Oklahoma than elsewhere.....there were a lot of people in the store that morning for the laptop and tv that were on sale that were VERY unhappy!!!! At least this year I should be able to plan for shopping a little better since the prices I see on here should be what I see in Oklahoma too.. no waiting for the paper ads to arrive to see what Oklahoma gets to pay!!!
  7. Well, here in Oklahoma we're just a few days away from our new Black Friday law going into effect....... SB 550 allows Oklahoma retailers to sell general merchandise products at any price below cost up to 15 days in a row on a specific product, up to 10 times a year. Groceries, drugs, gas, and lumber will still be subject to the law as before, but the pricing of all other products will fall under the provisions of SB 550. SB 550 will take effect November 1, 2013, just in time for Oklahomans to enjoy their first true Black Friday sales. .I know I'm happy that when the sales prices are posted for other states they should be what we see here too??!! Personally I think it will be great seeing as how pretty much all the other states had considerably better deals on electronics than us for a lot of years..... We even paid a little more most of the time for clothing, movies and video games. Renee
  8. In my case (because I live in Oklahoma) the worst black friday deals for me are at Walmart.... I say this because once I compared the prices for most other states and Oklahoma it made me very aggravated to say the least!! Some examples of the price differences: on the front cover *Laptop - OK $349.00 other states $279.00 *60" Vizio - OK $976.00 other $688.00 *Blu-Ray player - OK $48.00 other $38 *ipad 2 - same price (So it must not be a bargain!!! lol!!!) *Inside the flyer * a Compaq laptop - OK $309.00 other $179.00 *sheet sets - OK $34.00 other $19.96 * other things like toys and clothes seem to be anywhere from .50 to a couple of bucks higher in OK * Video games that are $25.00 elsewhere, in Oklahoma they will be $39.00. There are very few items that are the same price as other states. Mostly it's the electronics that are priced insanely different.
  9. On Walmart's site it says Black Friday will start early the next day.... we'll see!! http://www.walmart.com/cp/black-friday/1076614?_prevTerm=black+friday&redirect_query=black+friday&search_redirect=true
  10. #1 - Guy in dark blue with hand up - "One right here" Woman in white shirt - "Are you sure we really need one?" #2 - Woman in green - "Back! Back I say! No cuts for you!!! #3 - Boy on cart - "Whoever said this Black Friday shopping is fun never met MY mom...we're just kinda bored!"
  11. Is there a problem with opening the PDF file right now? I can see the scans and can open all the other stores PDF's, just not this one. I usually save them to my computer so I can show my mom who doesn't have internet service. Thanks, Renee
  12. Fun contest!! #1- RAIN!!!! REALLY!!!! NOW!!!! #2-L-R *Guy #1 (newbie black friday worker)- "I'll just stand here and look cool with my earpiece in..........they wouldn't dare run me over coming in" *Guy #2- "Suuurrre we'll let you in early!! NOT!!! *Guy #3- "Maybe I can hold the doors closed and keep all these loonies out!! Hey, you over there, are you going to hold your side closed or what!!" *Guy #4- "I'm bored! Isn't it time to go home yet?" #3- Guy in red & yellow jacket- "Man, can this line move ANY slower! I can't believe my wife actually sent me here TODAY, of all days...no, what I can't believe is I actually came here TODAY!! NEVER AGAIN!! Is she EVER going to hear about this!!! I'm tempted to leave....but if I do she'll just make me come back again!!!! Man, can this line move ANY slower!!!"
  13. I would have to say my worst Black Friday experience was at Wal-Mart last year. It's not that it was a really horrible experience, just a COLD one!!! I was after a couple of the Blu-Ray players that were on sale, and since the TRU experience was a bust for the one item there my mom wanted we decided to go across the street to Wal-Mart since it was open and wandering around inside a warm store seemed better than sitting in a cold car. We wandered around for a while, checking out where everything was located that we were also interested in. When we saw that a line was already forming for the players we decided to go ahead and get in it. A couple of employees came out after a while and took our names and gave out numbers with how many players you wanted on it. Ok, in my opinion this system seemed to work really well, at least at this store. The problem was, the line was at the back of the store through the frozen food cases and the open cold dairy cases...of course, being close to the front of the line we were by the open cases. Even with a light jacket on, we were so cold by the time they handed out the players (after about 4 hrs in line) I didn't think my toes and fingers would ever warm back up!! The really bad thing was, even though you got your name on a list with your place in line and a number, you couldn't leave the line to do anything else (like warm up!!!). The only way you could leave the line and come back was if you had to go to the bathroom, then you got a "Hall Pass" and had like 10 minutes to be back in line or forfeit your place, so we were kinda afraid to try to go outside to the car to get our heavy jackets and be able to make it back inside in that length of time. I'm thinking they should put something in the cold parts of the store that lines don't really form for...not something people stand there for several hours for...just my opinion!! I expect the cold when I'm waiting outside for a store to open, but not inside it. I guess if that's my worst Black Friday experience in all the years I've been going out on that day I'm doing pretty good!!!!
  14. If you go to Sam's Club you might try checking there. They get a lot of tv shows on dvd, especially around Christmas. Sometimes they have some of the older series like that for $15 - $20 or so.
  15. No matter how disappointing :(or terrific:) the ads turn out to be I'll be out there picking up at least the odds & ends (movies, cd's, etc.) on my shopping list!!! As for the ads, so far I'm a little disappointed..........I want an HDTV for my son's room, something in the 26" range and a name brand, but haven't spotted a price yet that compares to the price from Wal-Mart's Electronics Event last weekend, which of course I missed out on due to other obligations!!!
  16. I can't open it either, it just says it's damaged. I've tried it on three computers in the house and keep getting the same message.... Anyone know why I'm getting this message? It's the only scan that this has happened on. Thanks.
  17. Wow...some of your costume ideas are pretty creative!! I'd have to be the shopper lady in the old Mervyn's commercials that stood outside the doors tapping her fingers on the glass going "open, open"......LOVED that Black Friday commercial!!! Of course, nobody but me would know what I was supposed to be......................:)
  18. A week or so ago they had the Little Tykes toys "buy one $19.99 or more and get one $19.99 or less free"....usually they do that with the Fisher-Price toys too, does anyone know if they have done it yet, or when they will be on sale? Thanks!!!
