  1. I bought 5 20% off coupons for $15 off of ebay. Each coupon is good for up to $600 (use up to a $3,000 purchase)

I am getting harwood and tiling my kitchen and laundry area. Also kitchen counters and ton of paint for our NEW HOME!

Someone recommended buying those on ebay, never thought of it, but I'm glad they did. Just an FYI if it's a major purchase 20% is twice the savings

That isn't a bad deal to get those coupons for larger amounts of spending but the discount is the same. $10 off of $50 is still 20%.

  2. Probably my worst BF was last year. My daughter and I left home at 11pm on Thanksgiving night. We had spent a couple of hours Thanksgiving Day making a list of stores we were hitting, items to be purchased and the time the stores opened. We knew we could be out of some stores before others opened. We stopped at a convenience store for coffee and some light snacks before heading to Best Buy. We got to the BB parking lot and the line was already extremely long so we went to Sears. We were the only people there so we sat in the car. When another car pulled up around 4am, we decided to get in line.

My daughter decided to count her cash prior to leaving the car. Now mind you, I asked her twice before leaving home if she had her wallet and her cash. She assured me that she did. Well, all of a sudden, she was in utter panic mode because her wallet was gone and she had over $700 in there. We called home and asked DH to look in her room for her wallet. He told us that the wallet was not there. We left Sears and went back to the convenience store and asked the clerk if he had found a wallet. Nope! We ended up driving back home (about 20 miles) to find her wallet right in her room where we had asked DH (that does not stand for "dear" either lol) to look. Of course, we were both relieved but mad because we were going to be late for everything.

Anyway, we left home again and went to K-Mart (it was closer) and got everything I had on my list. We then went to Sears and yep, we got everything there on our list. We left Sears and went to BB and figured we were wasting time but we got a 22 inch monitor and an external hard drive which were our two main items. We did miss some things like our Radio Shack purchases and our Target purchases but I guess it wasn't a bad ending to a horrible start.

  3. ATT and TMobile are both GSM type phones. You don't have to let the carrier know what the IMEI number is at all. They are only able to read the sim anyways. I've used many ebay phones for my Tmobile service.

If you ever get mad at your hubby for breaking his phone and want to make him suffer for a few days, you CAN get one cheaper off of ebay. It just may take a few days to find the "right" deal.

You are 100% correct about how the carrier picks up the phone (except I didn't know all the technical stuff like you). You can buy any phone for our AT&T carrier and it will pick it with no problems. This was why I didn't understand having to wait for a tech to buy one.

I did make hubby wait for another phone LOL. He got tired of waiting and went to Wal-Mart yesterday and bought himself one. And all they did was scan it through the cash register. No tech and no activation. Works like a charm! Maybe if he has to buy his own now he might be more careful ??

  4. Hi...my name is Donna. I live in South Carolina and have one daughter who is 24 (gosh that makes me sound old). My daughter got me addicted to Gottadeal and Black Friday shopping about 4 years ago. It's all her fault LOL. I have a BS in Business with a management concentration and a MBA with a human resource specialization. I am currently trying to finish a PhD in Applied Management but I had rather be shopping!!
  5. The phone I was getting did not have to be activated. I have done this once before because my DH is very careless with his phone. I went to Target after leaving Best Buy and purchased the "go phone" and inserted the sim card from our plan. No problems and no activation needed.

That is my point........why wait on the phone clerks for something that needs NO activation or contract???

  6. We are under contract with AT&T/Cingular but DH dropped his phone and broke it and of course I didn't take out the insurance. I previously went to an AT&T store and they suggested instead of paying so much for a phone to just get a prepaid "go phone" and put his sim card in it. They told me that I would still have my coverage but the phone would be less expensive that way.

Well, tonight I went to Best Buy to buy the phone. I picked up a "go phone" from the rack and took it to the cash register to pay for it. I was told that I could not pay for it there. I must go to the phone center and pay the clerk there. This is a new thing they are doing. I stood in the phone center for over 20 minutes waiting to pay for the phone. There were two clerks who were doing phone contracts. I then went to customer service and asked if I could pay for the phone and leave since it was a prepaid phone. I was told "no" and that I would have to wait for someone in the phone center. I can understand taking care of the contract business with phones in this "phone center" but it makes no sense to have customers stand around waiting to pay for something that has NO contract. They told me that anything phone related has to be paid for in the phone center. Well, who is going to wait that length of time to simply pay for something? I put the phone down and left. Best Buy needs to either change this policy or put in another clerk to allow customers to simply pay for items.

  7. I know that Williams Sonoma has a half price sale around July but it is the colors that are exclusive to them. I bought a KA Pro 600 last year for $199 in July. It was half price but I had to choose between sage green or emerald green for that price. the emerald green worked great for my kitchen though.
  8. DD50, Lowe's had a printable 10 off of $25 and Home Depot will take it. I also got some Home Depot coupons in the mail. I got house plants buy 1 get 1 free and $10 off $50. Hope that helps.

I am hoping my Home Depot marks down the cherry trees cause I want two soooooo bad.
