I think it's greed. Let people have one day off for families. The consumer has the same amount of money to spend. They will still spend it all. I love Black Friday. The business owners are not working, it's the little people. Do you think Walmart, target employees are being paid extra? They are the ones who are treated badly by the shoppers.

Sometime you have to take a personal day. Unplug your phone. If you haven't told anybody about not going to in laws , pretend you are going. Order whatever you want, eat and watch tv or go the movies. Sometimes you have to protect yourself and stay home.

If its important gift buy it now. It will save you from going crazy later. Sometimes it cheaper to pay a little more, you are not calling every store or driving everywhere to find that toy.

In Oklahoma they can not sell below cost. So the big specials we do not participate. I know it sucks.

Wow! I remember buying turtles for my dd22 when she was little. I have some in the attic in a plastic tub. The videos went to a younger cousin. I remember getting dressed to the turtles.

It's hard to get him in the mall. I love to watch people. I really understand how lucky and blessed we are. I try to help others find deals.

Stamps, if he takes medicine gift card to pharmacy. Magazine or newspaper subscription, tickets to sporting,concert some big event. How about a prepaid gas card, yard sprayed. New first aid, smoke alarm or fire extinguisher.
