my ds is almost 12 his grandma gave him a track phone he mowed the yard this summer and most of the money from that went to refill his phone w minutes. I think a real cell phone is only when they can afford the bill each month.

sadly we dont usually play any games dh's family is a bit anti social and everyone usually just sits on the couch and watches tv. My family plays cards during holiday meal get togethers. This year the Chiefs have a turkey day game so I know the tv will have that on.

I am hosting the Thanksgiving Feast this year like I always do and I usually try to get a few appetizer type foods and sit them out while the items are cooking. I want to maybe get a few new things this year aside from the typical usual stuff I have. we usually do.......... cheese, crackers, summer sausage, veggie tray, deviled eggs, What do you do for appetizer type stuff (that wont put me in the poor house)

just got done going shopping for the feast. I have to go back on tues to get the veggies and stuff for the veggie tray.

It is hard because my oldest wants things that are more expensive so some years I do end up spending a bit more on him.

my ds wants a new bike and I was debating on the bf ones as well. We got him a bike about 4 yrs ago at walmart and he has had nothing but problems with the brakes so he really needs a new one but I am torn as to what kind and where to get it.

I have gotten the thanksgiving one mainly food in the mail on monday i think. I got one that has the razor skooters for $16.88 that starts today but, have not gotten the bf ad yet. I got 2 of the skooters and stuck them in layaway today.

My oldest is 11 and in the past couple of years I have tried to spend close to the same amount on each child and make sure they have close to the same amount of gifts.

we used to have a star till I finally got the pretty angel I wanted :)

thanks for the help. I was debating on if I found the single screens for really cheap just buying 2 of them. The Emerson from cc might not be a bad deal since the main reason is for use in the car. I am just worried about buying a off brand and it breaking right away if I get the one from walmart tho.

no way no how. ds has a playstation 2 and no need to get the playstation 3 just because it is the newest thing out.

I usually do all of the holiday shopping for family,friends and the kids. Dh only has to shop for me,I use lists and price match or compare so I am not wasting time and money. Dh will shop on Christmas Eve and pay what ever price.He also the past couple of years has started picking up a few items for the kids so he can feel he is involved but the past couple of years he has duplicated items I have already gotten. I have a system and yes sometimes he does mess with it.

I have regifted If it is new in original packaging I dont see anything wrong with it.It is pointless to keep it in your closet because you dont want to hurt someones feelings, you might as well pass it on so it can get used.

Our walmart has several of the sets. They had radiator springs, and a body shop they are supposed to be getting more in the sales rep said.

My kids are wanting a portable dvd player for the car.I would prefer to find one that has 2 displays because I have 3 rows in my car and for everyone to be able to watch it there technically needs to be 2 displays. Has anyone seen any that are of good quality at a good price? I know walmart has one that has 2 displays and a game control thing for reg price of $169 right now. Will I find one for a better deal on bf or should I snatch up the one from walmart and put it in layway before it ends? Thanks

cd players board games playstation games (you can get some for $10-15 sometimes) current new release movies walmart has the razor skooters for $16.88 both my ds's want those.

I would have the 13 year old watch the little ones. Honestly they will be sleeping most of the time you are gone wont they?
