  1. WOHO!!! Thanks for the posting---being a teacher, I sure can save some bucks. I especially like the deal on the poly folders---last so much longer than the paper ones!!! My first graders destroy them in no time. I usually laminate the paper ones, but that takes sooooo much time. The folks on Gotta Deal ROCK!!!
  2. Thanks...now part of the Dyson family!!!
  3. Whatever you do...do not cash in any of your 401k monies. Beg and/or borrow from friends or family if you need money temporarily until this issue is resolved. You will get hit with big penalties ---taxes, etc.---from early retirement withdrawals.
  4. Finally vacuumed this past Sunday with my Dyson, and I love it. It works great and is particularly convenient when vacuuming the stairs because of the super long hose and tools that attach. YIPEEE!
  5. If you are a member of Costco, they have dealerships that they are affiliated with and have preset prices with them. I got my Toyota that way---no haggling and a very good deal. However, be certain to contact Costco first and find the dealerships they deal with. Some dealers in my area claimed they were members of the Costco buyers program and gave me a random "Costo" price. I then asked for the Costco invoice which they couldn't produce---car salesmen, YUCK!!!
  6. okay guys...thanks for all the input, both + and -. I took the plunge today and bought the vacuum. I'll let you know how it works out.
  7. Thanks for the heads up...being a teacher I sure can save some money buying classroom supplies!! WoooHoooo
  8. I was in my local Costco today and say a Dyson DC14 (white and grey) priced at $199.97. I think this model is an older one. However, with the price being under $200 with the Costco return policy this seemed like a very good deal to me...what do you all think? Should I buy this vac or not? Gotta say, I love Costco!!!
  9. I know this might not go over really well because customer service should be a positive experience for the customer...however, have you thought about contacting SWA to acknowledge the rep you dealt with? I try to do that when I come across exceptional service---which is so rare these days! Like they say...customer service should be renamed---customer no service!
  10. Just be careful when you add another line...did that for my mom's phone and they extended my existing contract another 2 years from the date of the newly added line.
  11. OMG....I love this chocolate. I discovered it when traveling through Europe in 1984. Actually, my diet mostly consisted of MILKA. Oh, those were the days...
  12. letsbeon - But figure this one out.. most insurance co's will pay for a tubal ligation ($2500 on average), yet most won't pay for a vasectomy ($800). Not really hard to figure out...once again, they have no problem performing this on women, because, heaven forbid, a "man be less than a man" because of a vasectomy.
  13. But they will pay for mens viagra, hmmm, but I guess its a big money maker for them (pharm. company's). That's because it's men running the insurance companies and they don't want to pay for the "little blue pill" out of pocket. And these would be the same men that want to change women's health care such as mastectomy to outpatient surgery....
  14. I think you need to sleep on the sleep number mattress for several nights before you begin to notice the difference. It is most noticeable when you go from a sleep number back to a regular mattress.
  15. I have owned one for six years and absolutely LOVE it. HOWEVER, I just moved this past week, and when I deflated the air chamber I noticed it was damp and some tiny spots of mold had begun to form on the foam topper mattress pad that covers the air chambers. EKKKK, dreaded MOLD!!! I immediately called Select Comfort and they replaced the items no questions asked. I asked why this happened b/c I have moved the mattress before and there were no problems. The customer service representative said that it can happen from ones body heat and the resulting condensation. From now on I will check the mattress periodically, but I do have to say...the level of customer service is TOP NOTCH! Hope this helps!
