  1. Dug up last years BB early computer special for comparison with this years WM specials.:)

    Desktops:

    -eMachines Celeron 2.66, 17" CRT, 512MB, 80GB, DVD/Cd-RW Combo (T2893/17F3) $599.98 - $350 bundle MIR - $50 Monitor MIR = $199.98

    -eMachines Celeron 2.66, 15" LCD, 512MB, 80GB, DVD/Cd-RW Combo (T2893/E15T3) $779.98 - $350 bundle MIR - $50 Monitor MIR = $379.98

    Laptop:

    -Toshiba Celeron M 1.4 Ghz, 256MB, 40GB, DVD/CD-RW $899.99 - $400 IR = $499.99 (6902514)

  2. I may try some online BF shopping this year. I haven't ever thought about it before. It would make things alot easier even if you have to pay shipping. I just hope I don't have an experience like Bethc24.:)
  3. disneytati,

If rebates don't work for then BB most likely won't be your best bet. Last year they had a $500 laptop with no rebates but the $200 desktop was heavily rebated. I don't remember the amount but I'm guessing it was somewhere in the $200-$300 range. I still believe that BB will offer the best door buster computer if you can handle the rebates. Compusa should also have a good deal the day before Thanksgiving but that will most likely also have large rebates. They make money on rebates, I believe that only about 60% get redeemed.:)

Well, I don't have much experience with that, and got really excited about the price at Walmart. But then my aunt got the BB ad and... well, their price now is better than Walmart's door buster special, so I'll have to agree with you. As I said before, mail in rebates don't work for me, as I don't live in the USA...:curse: So I'll just wait and see what BB has for BF. Do you know if it's open on Thanksgiving?

  4. Bestbuy is my #1 favorite ad! Can't beat their early specials IMO. CompUSA is next and normally their best sale is on the day before thanksgiving. Circuit City, TRU and Sears after that. :)

??Whats the day before thankgiving called??...Wednesday:tongue1:

  5. Last years BB desktop was a Emachines with 2.6 Cel, 80gb HD, CD burner, 512mg RAM and a 17" flat CRT. $200 AR. I've been very happy with it, no problems. This year I'm wishing for the same thing with a 15" LCD at the same price. Wal-mart's desktop does come with an LCD but $400 is a little high IMO for a door buster special.:)
  6. Turkey and over eating make me sleepy, so I usually take a afternoon nap. Then I can't sleep later because I'm excited about the deals. Struggle to get up early and not really fully awake until the stores open. This happens ever year. Its a BF tradition, I guess.:)
  7. Yeah, this will be my first BF at WM too. I'm kinda nervous after seeing those footage of people losing their mind in WMs.

I hope BestBuy/CC have a better laptop deal so I can avoid WM or at least go there later.

The "W" in Wal-mart stands for wilderness on BF. Difinitely not a tame place and danger can lurk around ever corner.:D I will be at BB first thing. IMO they always have better computer door busters.:)

  8. I go shopping with about 14 other people. We get together the night before and combine our lists by store. We then decide which stores to hit, we may have 5 people going to Wal-mart if there is a lot to get there, 2 to Target, 2 to TRU, etc... We shop for eachother and 99% of the time get everything everyone wanted. It's soooo fun!!! One year Wal-mart closed down a check out just for us, we spent $4600.00 that year, there alone. We had 6 carts and 4 of their flat carts they bring their orders out from back on.

Wow! I guess I'll get up a little early so I can still get some bargains.:)
