  1. I bought several items online from Staples last year. I picked up hard drives, mem cards and a few FARs as I remember. I ordered after coming back from CUSA's midnight sale and before I went out to the stores that morning. Any info yet? Maybe the LCDs will be online this year. Online with Staples is great since you get free shipping if you sign up for their rewards card (free) and they have easiest rebates (online or B&M).
  2. I'm all about Best Buy's 22" lcd for 199.99. I also want two of the 19" lcds for 129.99 each. Anybody know how many lcd tickets one person is allowed to have? Also, I think that I'll also be getting the the 159.99 camcorder from Best Buy, but the lcds are what I'm really looking for this year!

The LCDs are limited to one per person but they aren't door busters. The ad says their extremely limited (Min 10 per store) but BB may not pass out tickets for these since the price is available for the entire weekend. I like the 22" as far as bargains go but never have seen a Westinghouse LCD and not sure of the quality. There has been several deals on the 19" size lately so you may want to also watch the Hot Deals forums on this site to pick up a couple at a similar price. Good Luck!

  3. I have to say Sears, it has some tools I want. :)

Most of the electronic stores items aren't anything special this BF and you could have shopped pre-BF from your pc to get similar deals. :yuck:

  4. Really? I'll have to try them for a Wii. I missed out at gamestop, the one I went to only pre-sold 10 and I was about the 20th in line.

Yes PS3 and WII are going on presale this Sunday. As to how many the stores are getting is anyones guess.

  5. The Vista upgrade coupon may be the only thing that will get me to buy a new PC this BF. I heard systems with XP pro will be a free upgrade and XP home will get a discount. MCE may fall under the XP pro catagory but not for sure.

Those smileys pretty much says it all when it comes to Vista. :eyepoppin and  I've heard both good and bad things about it. We'll just have to see if it's worth it. Gonna get a new laptop that's Vista compatable, get the coupon for a free upgrade to Vista OS, and see if it's worth puttin' Vista on my desktop or just keepin' Media Center Ed 2005.

  6. All the major store's should be sued this yr for not takin proper precautions to protect shoppers. They should know better than to offer limited loss leaders and not to suspect problems. All the hype around this day has gotten way out of hand. Is this what we have become?? Animals??? A Major class action law suit would end all this BF nonsence. LOL :)
  7. after getting run over, literally, in walmart (bellevue, ne) and suffering a knee injury from hitting the floor, only to have the HP ripped out of my hands and a fist fight start over it b/w a few guys, i walked out extremely disappointed. toshiba at best buy didn't pan out either, as the in-store manager would not honor the online price that said in-store purchase only. ended up going with the dell inspiron 2200. same specs essentially, only have to pay $40 for s&h. free printer and wireless card comes with it, however, so i guess it's a wash. could have saved myself some pain to just do it this way to start with. wal-mart needs a better process to protect it's customers, and it's employees.

Wow!! Walmart should have given you a free laptop for that BF experience. :)
  8. If Seagate does not honor the rebate, report them here:

Thanks! Good info to have at the ready. I bought my $29 200gb seagate at CUSA (mad house) and it had 3 seperate rebates. In address to reliability, I haven't had a seagate drive since I purchased my 1st "1gig" in conjunction with win95 and it failed after about a 1 yr. This yr I bought a 200gb seagate and a 200gb maxtor so I'll run them together and see which last the longest. I've bought drives from several different brands and the only one I haven't had fail me is WD. I'm sure others will tell you different, just make sure back up your info and send it back if you have problems. :)
  9. I did. It was not bad (DFW TX) Sausage egg cheese biscuit, croissant, applee danish, ham egg cheese croissant, cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit, oj, bottled water. I think thats it, but it was enough. And no I did not eat one of everything.

Never made it to sams did they have any BF specials or coupons? I went to costco and picked a couple good coupon items. :)
  10. Just hang close by your computer on Thanksgiving day and buy everything on line. I bought several items and it was report that all BB items were available on line , even the $149 computer. Next yr I may even get a BB rewards card (pay subscription) and save shipping cost. No way I'll brave the BB lines. Hype and competition has gotten out of hand this year and it will only get worse. No offence GottaDeal, I love this site, but it makes it harder to get the "steal" deals. :)
