  1. Here's a link to what's happening to the stores http://www.fds.com/ir/maymerger/divestitures/fds_divested_store_list_01-16-06.pdf
  2. I called Parago about a rebate they rejected and told me they'll make "an exception" for me. That's the second time they've said that to me. They must automatically reject rebates unless you call them. Still waiting on a bunch of Staples, 2 Office Depot, one SanDisk, and a CompUSA/Hawking one which from reading online they can take over 6 months to get. Bleh.
  3. Wow the Arcadia Santa Anita RM is closing??? Guess I'll stop by and see what's on sale.

  5. I sorta live around there, but don't really feel like taking a couple vacation days just to get an iPod. I'll have to check the local news to see if they'll be any fisticuffs
  6. Sorry for bumping an old post (FYI, this deal isn't valid now!), but has anyone checked their rebate progress online and get "Family Guy Vol. 2 Season 3 Missing UPC"? Nowhere on the rebate does it say to mail the UPC. Plus it's a DVD set...it would suck to have to cut it out and leave a hole. Time to call them up...
  7. I need to start fighting for my rebates since it seems Parago (rebate processing company for many companies) rejects any rebate unless you actually call them up and follow-up. Already had to call them once when one of my rebates was rejected due to "invalid location." wtf? For some reason, my Staples rebates are still being "validated" when obviously they've already started mailing them out.
  8. http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/ has also good DVD prices.
  9. Arrrgghhh...don't have my Staples rebates. Still being "validated." Got two PNY Technogies (CompUSA) ones after I called about one of them being "invalid" Still having problems with another rebate that Parago (rebateshq.com) is suppose to process. Still haven't received any Office Depot ones yet either.
  10. Yeah noticed that. Maybe I'll make the 8 mile trip to the nearest Staples.
  11. I read on another forum that someone called Samsung rebates and the person told them it was invalid. Office Depot didn't mention the Samsung rebate in their ads and their rebates are usually tied to a promotion. Even if the Walmart rebate is valid, I don't think I wanna go through the time and hassle of fighting it if Samsung says the rebate is invalid. Not that it matters, since there are no available printers at the Office Depots in my area!
  12. Yeah, you're right. The Walmart rebate form doesn't mention Office Depot for some reason. So I'm thinking Samsung won't accept Office Depot purchases.
  13. UGH! Went to my local Office Depot, and they said all the printers in the district are sold out! only the display models were available at the locations. I checked the display model and it seems like it was left on forever so didn't buy it.
  14. Blah, looks like there aren't any available online at my location. Looks like I'll stop by an Office Depot after work!
  15. How about Ebay? They're going for around $60 or less including shipping on there.
  16. Walgreens rules. I go there every week. They have great deals every week! And they pay out rebates within a month's time too!
  17. Ugh was hoping to original long and lean, but they only have the long inseam one only.
  18. The 8 Kb/sec sound quality (bearable quality) is free. Otherwise you pay based on the quality you select. http://www.sandisk.com/audible you get 3 free downloads. Otherwise prices are almost as much as the books themselves!
  19. I have a buncha codes for free 5-song downloads on Sony CONNECT Store.
  20. You may wanna send them an email: https://www.stapleseasyrebates.com/promocenter/staples/easyrebates?page=email_us.html
  21. I bought mine at Office Depot (the 1GB version) and I don't remember it coming with free downloads. But then again I usually toss stuff like that away. Did notice you could get free audible.com (audiobooks) downloads.
  22. Depends if this is a CompUSA or manufacturer rebate. I submitted a CompUSA online recently and it says "will be mailed after the merchandise return period." There's more info on their Rebate site:Q: How long does it take to receive my rebate? A: This varies by manufacturer. However, most rebate checks will arrive within 6 - 12 weeks of a properly completed request. All rebate forms should include a timeframe, usually within the Terms and conditions section.
  23. That's a good price for 2.5GB. However dunno much about that brand.
  24. If you chose "Budget Shipping," it was probably shipped using Media Mail which can take weeks (based on previous experiences). When I ordered my Family Guy DVD set, it came Medial Mail which wasn't a problem for me since they shipped from the OC to LA. But I imagine it'd take much longer outside of California.
