Last year I was greeted at the door by a dh saying "Finally! What took you so long?" ...at 8 am. LOL. Then *he* went back to bed and watched tv while I made pancakes for everyone. I did get an afternoon nap later though.

Keep in mind that Kohl's is notorious for marking up prices and then doing a 50% off sale...so their original prices on these toys might be way off what you'd find somewhere else. Compare what they have to what you can find at other stores. Just a quick check showed Kohl's price of the Matchbox Ice Mountain playset to be the cheapest around...just not a full 50% off prices you can find other places. TRU has it for $30 now so $22 is not half off of that...but still beats it! Last year I got some good deals using their 50% off sale, and I also passed over some toys that really weren't cheapest and certainly weren't half off. Anyway just a bit of info--still check around on prices when shopping. But thanks for posting the sale, it still looks like a good one!

The scanned ad only has doorbusters. The list has both the doorbusters AND the items for the rest of the weekend.

I think we were waiting awhile last year for Toys R Us...so I wouldn't be surprised if that one doesn't show up soon. Although that is the main one I'm wanting to see, so I hope I'm wrong, LOL.

It comes with some basic furniture. You can buy furniture sets separately as well. From the description at amazon: For me...this is all I need. Erin is turning 2 in a couple of weeks so she will still really be too small for the little accessories at Christmas. They have a lot of smaller pieces as they are for ages 3 and up. So I'm getting her the house, letting her keep the larger figures, but holding off on getting anything else till she is bigger. She may get some accessory sets from relatives but those will just go in storage till she can be trusted not to stick toys in her mouth. Otherwise I'll just buy them up next year, or sooner if they go on clearance (if they stop making them before next year--doubt that though!).

Target has been opening at 7 am here on BF, so it's quite possible you could get in and out of Walmart and over to Target before they opened. Target is a ZOO, though, and if you're not one of the first people in the checkout lines it's going to take you 2 hours to get out of there. At least that's what the one here is like. Getting the doorbusters is iffy if you're not there when the store opens, in my experience.

Yes, I'm very anxious to see TRU's ad and see how it compares to the toy deals at Walmart.

Graveling? Shoveling gravel? I'm sure they'll let you grovel anytime you want to...and I think I'm going to run away now before I get smacked for jumping on spelling errors. -
HOT! BF-Worthy Deal: 20% off $75+ Purchase at ToysRUs.com & Free Bonus Items

The order I placed this morning has already shipped!!! (Ack, time to hurry and take back the $90 Pixter I got in the store and get my car insurance money back, LOL!) -
Hmm, that means we'll have to stop bad-mouthing all the people who aren't in the room, if they'll be able to see the transcript later... LOL, I'm kidding, of course. I haven't even been able to get into the chat room in awhile. (Although I haven't tried in the last few days.)

Toys R Us's normal price on it is $60, so that is a good deal in comparison...BUT...the TRU one also comes with bonus figures and I have seen it on sale already (briefly) for $50. Add in that printable $5 off coupon and you have the house with bonus figures for the same price as Walmart's BF price. I'm thinking TRU might have an even better deal...I hope so anyway. I want that house (my youngest is soooo into Dora, this will be her "Santa" gift) but I don't want to pay $50+ for it. The cheaper the better LOL.

Keep in mind I live in the middle of nowhere, LOL. Now back home (socal) that would be unheard of. I'd have to be in line at 2 am and would only get stuff from one store, probably.

I *finally* have someone to do that with, too! One of my neighbors just joined yesterday as a referral...I don't know under what name so I don't know if she's posted...but she is totally into BF and is planning to go out and I sooooo want to team up with her. But where to leave my kids? Argh.

I do believe last year I was at three stores. The time before that, I think I made it to four. I was able to get doorbuster items at each store I went to. Maybe not everything on my list--by the time I hit Target (last) a lot was gone--but I did have some success there, if you call standing in line for an hour and a half "success." But last year I did great. Sears at 6 am, 1st in the door. Radio Shack next for the mp3 player I got my sister. Then...shoot I don't remember where I went after that. But I came home elated that I'd gotten everything I'd wanted.

People in a position to get their hands on the ads soon after they are printed will sometimes post what is in the ad or somehow provide the info to Brad and Ross. :)

HOT! BF-Worthy Deal: 20% off $75+ Purchase at ToysRUs.com & Free Bonus Items
outnumbered replied to Brad's topic in 2005
There is no free shipping on $25+ on toys. That is on amazon.com stuff (like books, movies, etc), not on toysrus.com stuff sold through amazon. It stinks, I hate it when they have free shipping deals and don't include all the toys of that brand. -

There are actually a lot of LT toys that aren't offering free shipping and aren't big. Some of the Dora stuff was that way too...pretty much everything on their "today's deals" page as being a brand offering free shipping is only really offering the free shipping on certain toys, not all of them. -

I agree, they should say "Free shipping on SELECT Little Tikes items." Because the way it reads now, it looks like everything Little Tikes is part of that deal...but no, most of the LT toys I want aren't part of it. It's misleading...just there to suck you in. Which it did, of course. -

"BF worthy" means this is just as hot of a deal as you'd see on BF. You get BF type savings, but NOW. -

And that beats shopping in the store any day. I'm going to be paying about $90 for about $160 worth of toys. Basically, for the price of the multimedia pixter, I'm getting that plus five more toys. I'm giddy! -

Yep! And this is my primary reason for being here. The forums are a close second and I probably wouldn't be here as often (and so would miss out on some of these deals) if I didn't love the forums so much...but deals like this KICK BUTT and are the only way my kids get a good Christmas each year. This site is just plain awesome! LOL, can you tell this has made my day?
