This is a good deal for a cheap PC but if you're willing to wait, there may be better deals. For example, two weeks ago CompUSA had the Compaq sr1710nx for $125 after rebates. It was so hot that I bought one, almost two. The Compaq is obviously $75 cheaper, a major name brand, has 1 year warranty and better specs. But that deal is dead and there were $250 rebates to deal with as well.

This is a LONG SHOT that your stores have any left but it's worth checking out. How about a brand new desktop for $81.05? Again it's extremely unlikely any Office Depot stores in your area have any in stock but IF they do, it's a killer deal. YMMV

Do you know for certain what is wrong with it? How do you know that it cannot be fixed? Maybe replacing a motherboard/RAM or re-installing Windows would fix it? It's a shame you weren't looking for a new computer last weekend as they had a 2 day sale offering the Compaq Presario sr1710nx for $125 after rebates. I searched tomorrows ads and it's slim pickings for new computers under $400 that don't suck.
