It's possible but only Dell Marketing knows for sure.

I'm surprised because $499 usually gets you an entry level laptop with Celeron/256 not Pentium-M/1GB.

Correct and that applies to the entire forum not only the lounge. These spammers sure are persistent, the other day I banned at least 20 of them

Does Circuit City pricematch online retailers?
RossMAN replied to Zenmervolt's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
AFAIK CC B&M does not but Sears B&M does, as always YMMV. Staples also PM's most online retailers. -
Yep and here they are: Genuine Windows® XP Home Edition re-installation CD [add $8 or $1/month1]15.4 inch UltraSharp™ Wide Screen SXGA+ Display with TrueLife™ [add $80 or $3/month1]If you plan on playing any games, I would upgrade the video card:256MB ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1400 HyperMemory™ [add $79 or $3/month1] Upgrade warranty to 2 or 3 years mail in or at home service

Check out the Dell Inspiron E1505 for $699 starting at 6.18 pounds.

Budget? Most of the deals lately have been on the Inspiron E1405 and E1505 models.

Have you considered buying a new computer? Dell recently had a Dell Dimension 3100 with 17" LCD for $419 featuring an Intel Pentium 2.8GHz w/ HT, 512MB RAM, 80GB SATA Hard Drive, DVD Burner, Windows XP Home, 17" flat panel LCD and 1 year warranty. If you don't need the 17" LCD you could easily sell that for around $150 - $200. If you're not in a hurry to upgrade your RAM, I have some spare 256MB PC133 which are yours for free. It may take me a few weeks to find them though.

I would recommend: 1) Find your Windows CD's, backup your data, reformat the hard drive and re-install Windows. 2) Upgrade RAM.

If you encounter this error message again can you possibly take a screen print of it?
