I think that most places have a return policy where any item without a reciept is valued at whatever the most recent sale price was. It may not seem fair if you know you paid more - however, it is reasonable from the stores standpoint - otherwise folks would take advantage. I am surprised to hear that is the case with a gift receipt = the purpose of which is to record what was spent on the item - I looked at the return policy for Kohls that notes with a gift receipt you get a credit for the merchandise (different wording than the w/o receipt). There is note that if Kohls cash was used then you don't get that value back - which may explain the difference in what was refunded to you I may call to get clarification from Kohls corporate... if I get an update I will post... The Kohls website notes the following - Without a receipt you may be given*: • An even exchange. • A Kohl's Merchandise Credit, good for the return value of the item. Offered at any Kohl's. • A credit to your Kohl's Charge Card, if your items were purchased on your Kohl's Charge. • A corporate-issued refund. Back to Department Store Purchases With a receipt you may be given*: • A cash or credit refund, based on the original method of payment. • An even exchange. • A Kohl's Merchandise Credit, good at any Kohl's. • A corporate-issued refund. If you are located near a National Amusements movie theatre (Multiplex, cinema de lux, etc) they have a Book Worm program each summer. If the child presents a book report - they get into the movie free (and so does the parent and children under six) - happens on Wednesdays. I have the same model and am very very happy with it - would definitely recommend. I also did lots of research (Consumer reports and co-workers) before buying. I found a great deal through Amazon outlet (warehouse) on an open box version - not always in stock though. This model does have bluetooth but only works with certain carriers (and/or phones) I cannot get it to work with Verizon wireless. HTH

I got mine too yesterday - super fast shipping - and for those that were wondering - it does come packaged with a sample tape - not sure how long it will last though. It also needs 6 x AAA batteries...

I guess that it comes with a "starter" cartridge. The price at Costco for the tape seemed pretty decent (10 S&H incl) - I did a quick check on amazon/staples/bestbuy and the price was less at costco. I didn't do an exhaustive search though... I am sure there is a better deal out there .......... please post if you find one.
