  1. I have had T-Mobile for 5+ years. We never had any problems. We recently purchased a G1 phone(touch screen, unlimited internet ect.) The screen shattered within 2 months of the purchase. T-Mobile's customer service was completely unwilling to help us get a new phone, excpet to charge us full price. All in all T-Mobiles prices are great, and coverage is good where we live, but if you ever have a problem, the customer service is a force to be reckoned with. We are cancelling our service and not looking back.
  2. For one of my best friends families, 2 years ago we got a very nice christmas tree skirt and had it monagrammed: "The Smiths", Then last year, we got them the matching stockings-4 family members-2adults, 2 kids each monagrammed with their first names. They loved it. Even the kids. They love having something with their name on it. No confusing who's stocking goes with who!!!:)
  3. I have a friend who travels for work in her car constantly and she first bought an $800.00 Tomtom. She had nothing but problems with it not working, the screen blanking out ect. She purchased the extended warranty plan and Best Buy finally got tired of giving her new Tomtoms and they gave her a Garmin replacement. It's been over a year and she hasn't had one problem. She literally uses it daily.
  4. Linens n' Things usually has a 7ft tree(last year it rotated) for 99.99. It comes in priced at 199.99, and it always goes to 99.99 on BF.
  5. I pulled the Christmas Cd out of the cars glovebox on the commute home from work last night. It was fabulous and I am so ready for snow, decorating, cookies...everything!!!
  6. Linens n Things has these on Black Friday every year for the previous few years. Usually around $50.00. If lots of places have them, people don't normally think of LNT for it, so AFTER black friday you can use there 20% off coupon and get it cheaper then the Black Friday price. (I used to work there, I know all their secrets.)Good Luck!!!
  7. I just recently bought something from bb online, and it was a trainwreck. i couldn't imagine dealing with them on a crazy day like black friday!!!
  8. I do not have a digital photo frame, but I used to work at Linens N'Things, and we carried three different ones. Last year we sold out every time we got them in and we never had a big return rate on them. Everyone who spoke about them seemed pleased. A bit of advice though, make sure you use a 20% off coupon on it.Everytime an ad comes out, there's one on the back of it. It can save a bundle.
  9. Congrats to you...Thats smart shopping!!!!
  10. I was in line at Target at 5:30 this mornng. Around 5:40 a lovely Target manager came outside and slowly made her way down the line announcing where each and every item was in the store, answering peoples questions...ect....It really cut down on the madness. Another thing, we have horrible line-jumpers in our area. You know, the people who sit in their car until the last minute and then try to cut in front of everyone who have been waiting, well...The store manager who gave us our briefing saw it was about to happen and had 10 of her male staff members make a chain around those of us who had been waiting in line. It was the first time in my Black Friday history a store briefed people while waiting in line AND stopped the line-jumpers. It was fantastic AND bumped up Target a notch in my book. I was just wondering if every Target did that or only my store????
  11. My Wal-Mart in Saint Louis, MO had 5 tvs. They unlocked the door at 4:30 to hand out tickets to the plasma, and told everyone the RCA's were already gone. I'm guessing the employees bought them. So actually, I guess my store started the day with 0 Tv's. So... skeezy!!!!
  12. I have a friend who is a paid teachers aide for 2 classrooms. 4th graders. She said she totally does not expect a gift from the kids.
  13. For my boyfriends mom and stepfather, we got a snowglobe that you can insert a photo into. Its not cheesy like some snowglobes. It looks very elegant. We're putting their wedding photo in it. I got it at Restoration Hardware. Small $19 Medium $29 Large $39. I like when gifts are personalized and not just something bland.
  14. As a former employee of a store that had a black friday ad every year, yes the stock was there well ahead of time, and the ads were in our building over a month before black friday,BUT unless you took the initiative to look at the black friday ad before the weekly meeting regarding it,(which was usually monday before black friday), and lots of employees didnt because quite frankly when your a lowly employee you dread black friday, then not every employee knows whats in the ad until it breaks to the public. In our store,we never set up anything for black friday until after closing wed. night or VERY VERY early friday morningbefore opening. It was kept in the stockroom, or in it's "home" place in the store.
  15. I can't believe Best Buy practices for Black Friday. At my local Best Buy, (STL, MO)IT IS always a disaster. Within five minutes, the lines are jam-packed. You could stand in the line for an hour even if you were one of the first in the store. I'm jealous that other stores around the country run so smoothly.
  16. I have been black fridaying it since i was 16. Now granted I am only 25, but I consider myself a veteran. Something I learned a few years ago about checking out at Best Buy. The lines there are ALWAYS the worst. Buy a car stereo, no matter how much, and get a salespersons help, they will let you check out in the car stereo deparment, which usually have a maximum of 2 people in line. Then I just return it a couple weeks later when I'm out running errands. It works every time. Just a Black Friday hint from me to you. Happy Holidays...:)
