    I'm at home and I don't have my exact numbers on me, but all are $100 for one year, and the 3 yr plan is based on purchase price. I think the 3 yr plan is around $250. I realize that's a lot for what you paid for the laptop itself, but you also need to consider what the regular price of the machine is and the hassles you'll save by having Geek Squad fix any problems (and no overseas tech support calls :D ).

     

    Also, you are correct - you do have 14 days to buy the plan after purchase (but 14 days means 14 days, not 15).

     

    A couple of years ago I bought Dell "Gold Key Service" 3 years for $75. It has paid for it's self in Tech service.

    Got to my 24 hour Walmart. They got 8 of the 52" tvs. All were spoken for and I was there by midnight. Apparently they were claimed by 9pm. People stayed right by them till 5am when they could check out.

     

    All Claimed by 9pm huh. Sounds fishy. A friend of mine that has a friend that works at Office Depot wanted the flat 27" TV for $3something. Well OD only got 1 in, and the manager told he he could save it for his friend.

    I would just spend what you usually would spend. I'ts not worth going into hock over.

    A coach wallet would be way over my spending limit. Give her a gift certificate to the store that this sort of thing would be bought at. And put a not in it that that is what it is for.

     

    She probably won't even know what a deer blind would cost. I sure wouldn't.

    So Radio Shack has a Tivo free after rebate. I was thinking of this for my parents for Christmas they have Dish Network. Will it work with this and does anyone know the cost? Does Dish require a telephone line connected?

     

    I would like to just order at this super black friday early buy and just have it shipped to the store.

    I've taught kids at church for over 10 years with the last 4 years being to a special class on Wednesday nights. I can count the number of presents I have gotten from my girls - read - very few. People don't think about giving their Sunday School teacher or Wed night teacher a present. But it means so much!!! The school teachers get paid to teach, volunteers don't. So don't forget them also.
