we picked up a few bracelets @ goody's on BF (regular price $14-$16, got on BF for $3-$4). the bracelets are cute and trendy for preteen girls. and i always have my two pick up a few extra, they get put up for an unexpected gift for themselves. i put it in their stockings or save for a later time in the year. the friends love them, as some come with earrings. and my two are estatic to recieve them, too! we usually stock up on bags after x-mas and the white wrapping paper for an easy gift that costs around $4 and looks alot pricer! (thanks to my shopping no less!)

i wish that it was closer. my girls had a blast there! we go to dollywood, but it is just not the same.

i know that you said she is a tomboy, but goody's has bracelets that are not too girly. my girls love them. pj's are always great gifts. maybe try a used book store (someone mentioned the books). maybe a gift certificate to the mall for $5 or $10 (they do that around here where you can buy a gift certificate to the mall and spend it at any store)

i just checked my order that i placed the other day. and it was still cheaper (but the comforter set was in the clearance of the shopping outlet.) the PJs are cheaper now though!!

i asked the same question not too long ago. took daughter to the store and the jeans fit her normal size. but the t shirts were alittle small, so we had to buy the next size. didn't try the sweat shirts yet.

different stores/gas stations have a different amount of ads in them. i live near knoxville so i pick up a newspaper while i am there on sunday, but i will be picking up 2 for BF. where i live (out in the country, about 50 minutes away) half of the ads are not placed in the paper. your best bet is to go to the "biggest" town and pick up a paper.
