  1. OfficeMax stores don't normally carry laptops, but they probably will for Black Friday. Try calling closer to BF, or just call a different OfficeMax (to get a different manager).
  2. I think the size of a formatted CD-RW is only like 640MB. So a 512MB flash drive (about $13.00 on sale) would almost be the capacity of a CD-RW. A 1GB flash drive (about $18.00 on sale) would be MORE than the capacity of a CD-RW. These can be found for even less on BF! Oh, and stay away from Memorex CD-RWs -- they're just junk! http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Angry/mad_at_you2.gif

  4. IMHO, people are buying fewer CD-RWs since the prices of Flash Drives have fallen so much. I'll see what I can find... For reliability, I'd recommend a brand you are familiar with (TDK, Sony, Verbatim, HP, etc.)
  5. You beat me to it! http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Jobs/met008.gif

  9. No real time for hobbies, except photography, simple video games like www.miniclip.com, and posting on Web forums. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Happy/becky.gif I'm TIVO-illiterate. Heck, we just got digital cable this Summer, and only on one TV. My cable company does offer something like that. But it'll be above the $150 spending limit, I'm sure.Plus my in-laws would probably like something to "wrap". http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Holidays/treegifts.gif XM & Sirius are nice, I've done a couple of Sirius' online trials, but in the end, I go back to www.pandora.com or www.sky.fm. And I just don't drive enough to make it useful in the car. Although a new in-dash CD player would be nice. The Oldsmobile's CD player is now prone to skipping and I've tried cleaning it with a lens cleaner and it didn't help. iTunes gift cards would be a thought... I have 500+ CDs though, and two more come each month (see my post about www.yourmusic.com above). I actually just bought a 400GB hard drive to rip the CDs onto. Yeah, iTunes is my MP3 player of choice. My wife doesn't think I'd get enough use out of a Gameboy Micro... But keep these ideas coming! It's tough when you don't know what you need. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Hmmm/N1Dunno.gif
  10. I guess it would depend on whether or not the BB that Adamtanderson plans to go to has the Personal Shopping Program... http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Hmmm/thinker1.gif
  11. You could call your local store... I'm sure they have their schedule and employee duties already set for the week...

  14. I don't know, Brad. The D-Link website doesn't have any for Win98: http://www.dlink.com/products/support.asp?pid=334&sec=0#drivers (WinME, Win2K & WinXP). I would've posted earlier but the D-Link website was down.

If you want to buy a doorbuster TV but you aren't going to be one of the first dozen or so in-line I wouldn't bother going. 20. You do realize that you don't have to sign up with CompUSA's cell phone carriers or sign up with phone service from Circuit City, right? Those are optional discounts. If you don't want 'em, don't sign up for 'em. I'm sure plenty of people are looking for a new cell phone plan and would JUMP at the chance to save $200 on CompUSA products in the process. Same deal for Circuit City... I'm sure that a lot of people are on the fence about whether to switch to Vonage from their POTS (plain old telephone service). And this is a way to save $200 in the process. They're both incredible deals... if you need the new service...
  21. They're already out! I saw one at our Sam's Club tonight. We'll see Santa before you know it. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Holidays/santachim.gif
  22. I'd be willing to bet you'll need this Kenwood adapter: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-mUZsedYuNpb/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=113CAC2AX
  23. Not recommended... Read these: Best Buy: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=55103 ("Best Buy's price match policy does not apply to items in this ad and is NOT VALID ON PRIOR PURCHASES.") Circuit City: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=55054 ("last year...While the service desk was open, it was only open to register all the people for the AOL promo.....and had no one there to work price matches/adjustments.") Caveat emptor!
