  1. You could sign up for www.yourmusic.com -- I've been with them for over two years. All CDs are $6.99 shipped. It's run by BMG Music. You put CDs you'd like to get in your queue and they send you one every month. You can order more if you'd like at $6.99 each, shipped.
  2. If someone needs that code (for free), drop me a PM, I have one.
  3. The Chinese New Year Special Edition drives are back in stock, same price: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=206865169 The one I ordered arrived. The metal USB cover is a yellow-gold color (the photos make it look silverish). It's a very stylish drive. I like it.
  4. You can get a 10% coupon by registering for their e-mail newsletter: http://www.vffo.com/coupon.aspx And congrats on the weight loss.
  5. I had three fail on me in a row over the course of a few months. Kept needing to unplug and replug the router to reset it. Netgear's Customer Service kept having me send it back, then they'd send me another one. I did that twice and gave up (three units all bad). It was far too late to return it to the store, so I just took it as a loss.
  6. There's more than one way to skin a cat avatar.
  7. The ad on the Staples Web site is the official one for next week (President's Day).
  8. Sunday, Feb 17th - Saturday, Feb 23rd You can see the ad *NOW* at www.staples.com, click on the Weekly Circular, enter your Zip Code and then click on the Sneak Preview tab.
  9. I bought one from Sears last year for our house. It was $478 installed. I even have a thread about it: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=64356 All the other basements in my neighborhood are jealous: http://i16.tinypic.com/2wns32a.jpg
  10. Brad's the man! http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Jobs/sultan.gif

  12. The TomTom XL-S has those features too, for less money. The real question is what madiemae06 meant by "voice activation". If she truly needs "speech activation" (for her to be able to navigate to a particular address by simply saying it out loud) vs. the much-more-common "text to speech" (were the unit says "Turn right on Oak Street in 200 yards), then that severely limits her options.
  13. Buy.com just dropped the price to $10.95 shipped... Same link as before: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=202743332
  14. I was going to say exactly what I've highlighted in red. If your daughter has hard water, she can run white vinegar through the coffee maker once every few months to clean it out (and two more passes with regular water to get rid of the vinegar). I have a Cuisinart that has lasted me a long time, and I use it twice a day, every day. Mr. Coffee is junk, avoid them at all costs -- a Mr. Coffee coffee maker might last 2-3 months, unless you don't open the box.
  15. You can always buy 2GB of RAM and install it yourself. Cost is around $40.
  16. There are ways around that: http://cdn.overstock.com/images/products/P10398367.jpg http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/AC-to-DC-Car-Charger-Socket-Adapter/2117787/product.html?IID=prod2117787 Also, TomTom GPS units have mini-USB connectors for the car charger or USB-cable connector for the computer. TomToms can be charged via the connection to the computer, or any Motorola phone A/C power cord.
  17. Here's someone asking the same question on Cnet.com: http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-10166_7-5538187-1.html $199.99 = http://www.pogoelectronics.com/radioyourway.html Ebay search for Pogo's Radio YourWay: http://search.ebay.com/Radio-YourWay-pogo_W0QQsatitleZQ22RadioQ20YourWayQ22Q20Q2bpogo
  18. You know, I remember Staples having some killer hard drive and CD-RW drive deals in years past... By all means, post info as you get it.
  19. madiemae06 -- by voice activation, do you mean that you want the unit to recite the directions to you, or do you want to be able to "tell it" what address you want to go to (speech activation). If it's the latter, you should know that there are only a few units that can listen to your voice for the destination -- The TomTom 920 and 920T and the Garmin nuvi 850 are three that I know of off the top of my head, they start at $550.00 (the Garmin 850 is $850).
  20. The Deal Discussion forum is for the discussion of existing deals. I would move this to the Deal Finder forum, but you already have a thread there about the same thing, and one is enough.
  21. Kingston, 1GB SD card - $6.99 shipped: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134444 Kingston, 2GB SD card - $12.95 shipped: http://www.buy.com/prod/kingston-2gb-secure-digital-card-sd/q/loc/101/202743332.html (Newegg would be $14.99 shipped) Kingston is a good brand, I'd recommend them any day. Transcend is a brand you'll find at the lower end of the price spectrum -- they're known to have slower data transfer (or data writing) speeds. In a camera, that would mean longer waits between shots.
  22. The second one is a better deal, since it's cheaper and it's a Hi-Speed drive. I actually have that green and white one. I bought it on BF at Inkstop for $9.99 (plus tax). If you do buy a bigger one, check out this thread for stuff to put on it: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=49352 With a flash drive, I can jump on my in-laws' computer and it's just like being at home, all my passwords through KeePass, my browser favorites, a few games, etc.
  23. I guess everyone else jumped on it... I ordered mine last night. Check back, maybe they'll find a box in the warehouse or something... Happens at Newegg.com all the time. It was Buy.com's #1 selling item last night.
  24. Kingston 2GB USB 2.0 Hi-Speed DataTraveler Limited Edition Chinese New Year Drive - DT101R/2GBCN http://ak.buy.com/db_assets/prod_lrg_images/169/206865169.jpg Manufacturer: Kingston Mfg Part#: DT101R/2GBCN Apart from the artistic pattern, the DataTraveler 101's design reduces the drive's overall size which allows for easy and unobtrusive transport in a pocket or attached to a keychain. Offering style, function and affordability, the DataTraveler 101 limited edition is fully compliant with high-speed USB 2.0 specifications, which makes the transfer of files and documents fast and convenient. As with all Kingston USB drive products, the DataTraveler 101 Chinese New Year Limited Edition carries a fully guaranteed five-year warranty. http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=206865169 This Item is Shakin' Today's Rank: 1 Yesterday's Rank: 2553 ******************* $10.95 is a really good price for a 2GB Flash Drive, and then it has the cool Chinese New Year graphic besides. Do I need a ninth Flash Drive (the third one that's 2GB)??? Yeah, I think I do. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Non-Smiling/thembarassed.gif Not that I'm Chinese, but I was born the year of the Rat (1972). 2008 is the year of the Rat too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_New_Year http://www.chinesefortunecalendar.com/NewYearDays.htm
  25. Microsoft Zune Home AV Kit - Multimedia Player Kit - 9DW-00001 http://ak.buy.com/db_assets/prod_lrg_images/430/203171430.jpg Amplify your Zune experience by plugging into your big-screen TV and the best speakers in your house. Once you are set up, you can control the entire experience from across the room with the wireless remote. http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=203171430 (You'll need a Zune, of course...)
