    Map Again?

yes i suppose it's about that time. i'll set a new one up and post a thread later :) Update: new map thread: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=85437
  2. If I knew what his IP was I could unblock it. It must have been blocked from a previous year as I haven't blocked any WM IP addresses this year.
  3. Someone else said he said the same thing to them about his IP being banned. I haven't banned any WM-related IPs this year, so it must have been banned from a previous year and I have no way of knowing which IP that is.
  4. quantities updated. only a few shirts left. be the target of dirty looks every time you step into a wal-mart wearing your brand new gottadeal.com t-shirt
  5. To clarify something that has happened more than once already in this thread: DO NOT POST PERSONAL HOME OR CELL PHONE NUMBERS OR HOME ADDRESSES OF WAL-MART EMPLOYEES IN THIS THREAD We want to do this all through the proper channels. Thank you for your cooperation.
  6. That total number takes into account all registrations including banned members, aside from the handful of accounts which were totally deleted for one reason or another. Also, to go along with what I said above, there are currently about 24,000 members who have not confirmed their registration yet (and likely never will).
  7. There is no way for you to discern that, but I can. There have been 76,314 members active in the last 15 months. A lot of the difference between the two numbers can be attributed to these two cases: - members that came for BF one year and couldn't remember their account info when they came back the next year so they registered again - members that quickly registered with a fake e-mail address to view the BF forums but weren't able to confirm so they had to register again And for all the members we have, there are relatively few banned members, and the vast majority of them register, spam and are then usually banned within minutes so you all never even notice them :)
  8. Good (and humorous) article: http://www.fool.com/personal-finance/general/2007/10/23/holiday-spoiler-alert-sites-already-leaking-deals.aspx
  9. Just an update on the (very unscientific) poll that's currently on the BF site: Will Wal-Mart's legal threats affect your decision to shop there on Black Friday? Yes 2,629 (74%) No 925 (26%)
  10. Don't worry, for those who want to see the ad early, you'll be able to. If it's not posted on GD, there will be literally hundreds of other places to see it, and it will be up to WM to find each and every little web site, forum, blog, etc... and send their lawyers after 'em. Believe me, people who up until now had no idea what Black Friday even was will now be posting the ad around just because WM says not to. This is going to backfire for them so badly, and we'll all be here to laugh at them when it does
  11. Yeah, who here actually believes that? With his e-mail address posted here as well as on the main BF site which gets much more traffic than the forum does. I find that very hard to believe. Like heavenlysshine said, feel free to give him some more attention: [email protected]
  12. I think it's supposed to be Stewart, not Steward.
  13. Exactly - buy the loss leaders, make them price match other loss-leaders if they still PM.
  14. So that is the correct e-mail address. Good. Also, please read the article closely - some quotes are from him and some are from the industry analyst guy.
  15. Nope - take a look at his profile - he's not banned. But nice try Oh, and your e-mail address is [email protected] Jason Howard... bigjhowe... Hmm......
  16. Keep in mind that some of these quotes are from the WM guy and others are from the industry analyst (who also is clueless). Be sure to read the article closely before you accuse one or the other of saying something they didn't.
  17. A month from now, how many of you will be out shopping? Or done for the day by this time, lol.
  18. Another uninformed WM lackey, lol. Too bad the ad will be released, and if I receive it, it will be posted - probably not on GD, but somewhere else :)
  19. I posted this in the main WM thread but thought it deserved its own thread. This is from an article on CNet today:
  20. Hey WM, you've received more than a "few" calls and e-mails, and I am not "overestimating" the importance of this site. We're talking almost 2 million unique visitiors in just one week.
