We should have a few very big news stories tomorrow, and the Wednesday before BF was the busiest day last year. Anyone think we'll break the record tomorrow (or Thursday)? I saw the article earlier today and just skimmed through it and it didn't even connect that this was the one you were interviewed for. To be honest, it makes you sound a little crazy, lol (kidding ). With it being so close to BF and so many retailers already posting ads on their site, we are not going to officially add any more ads to the site this year. You are free to type up lists, post links to ads on retailer web sites, or if you have an ad and want to scan it and post it, feel free. We're going to be extremely busy the next 3 days with updating the various online sales that we just don't have the time to add more items to the BF site. If you have a shopping list on the BF site, there is a large "notes" box at the bottom that you can edit and include items that are not posted on the BF site :)

Someone just registered the domain blackfriday.com but never does anything with it. Instead they just put ads on it and hope people will type the address in their address bar looking for legit BF info and end up clicking on their ads. I've made numerous attempts to contact the owner to see if I could buy the domain, but so far I've had no luck. I guarantee I could pay more than they make with those ads on it.

The "instant savings" from BB are based on retail price which almost nobody pays anyway, so I wouldn't say you are truly saving that much $. Also, are you sure you'll get Reward Zone points for items paid for with Gift Cards? I thought I remember reading that it was not allowed. From the rules:

Yeah, the "Buy Online" link just means the item is listed on BestBuy.com. It in no way guarantees that a) the item will be in stock later this week and the item will be at the BF price.

Buy.com has also been promoting various kitchen appliances from Fujitronic. Don't know if both these stores entered into some big agreement with the company or what, but I've been seeing that brand for weeks now.

Yeah, those are part of the arrays() error that happens every so often. I thought the upgrade might fix it, but it looks to be a problem with the server cluster, so we'll have to deal with it until we go back to the old server after BF. So just disregard those "no permission" errors - nothing is wrong with your account, you're not in trouble, nothing to worry about :)

We just upgraded the forum software, so if you notice any bugs or see any unfamiliar error messages, please post them here. This does not apply to the error message we've seen the last few weeks dealing with arrays and functions.php. We are aware of that error, so no need to report that one. Same goes for generic "Database Error" messages - we get an e-mail when those happen. I'm talking more about just getting strange messages or weird behavior when you are trying to do normal things like post, send PMs, etc... Note that a few of the forum "features" are also currently disabled because of the upgrade. Those will return in a week or so.
