We are no longer an affiliate of Amazon (and haven't been for almost a year now). They decided a year ago that they didn't want most deal/coupons sites as affiliates because we post deals which they don't make much money on after they pay commission.

Don't put much weight in sites like Quantcast, Alexa, etc... Those numbers are much lower than the real numbers.

That is just for mods. You can (and always have been able to) alert mods to spam by clicking the red X circle icon to the left of every post.

This is the case with nearly all audio/video cables at stores like BB and CC. Like you said, buy online or go somewhere like Target/Wal-Mart where you might find more "budget" versions which will work just as well.

Once again, the success of the Black Friday site has caused an increase of daily, year-round traffic here on the forum. And to go along with that increase in traffic, I am announcing several new moderators today. First of all, I'd like to welcome Cindy (freesia39) as our new site-wide moderator, joining Marcster and Scott. A good idea of what will be hot next BF will be whatever is big next month at CES. Last year, the digital picture frames and GPS units were all over the place and HDTV is always hot. The stuff that is first being announced in the next couple months will be the stuff that gets released in the fall.

We think it's a pretty good system that way and there are only max 2 forums to look at. wait, what? black friday is over? how did i miss it?

Some notes: 1. Very few, if any, of the new features will have any effect on server performance. 2. As for the customizable user profile pages, if we allow those, there will be an option to view everyone's profiles without customizations if you just want to view them with the standard layout. 3. Thread title prefixes will likely only be used for a few forums (contests, etc...) 4. Thread tags would likely only be used for the deal forums. 5. The new groups could possibly be useful for things like the coupon trains, etc... but we'll have to see about that.

Many of the add-on forum hacks/features have been disabled recently to prepare for the upcoming forum software upgrade. The will return after the upgrade if they are compatible with the new version of vBulletin.

I am doing some prep-work in advance of the forum software upgrade, and so some features are being disabled for the time being. You can always reply to the threads for freebies/contests you've done and the icon for the thread will show a little dot to show you you've posted.

If you ordered something on BF from Staples.com, reply to this thread with: 1) what you ordered 2) the status of your order 3) if you want, your order # (feel free to X-out the last 1 or 2 digits) Seems that a lot of people are getting "we're sorry..." e-mails for certain items...
