With the Add-on items, what I do is order something like a Blu-ray movie that is a preorder and won't ship anytime soon to get your total above $25. They'll ship the add-on items right away and then you can just cancel whatever preorder you ordered. They might eventually "fix" this, but I've done it 3-4 times already with no problems at all.

At this point last year we only had Fred's and Harbor Freight posted, so we're ahead of the pace so far.

Just took the data from the past 7 years including when the ad was leaked and what day Black Friday fell on. Apple event starts in 5 minutes for the new iPads. If you are looking to get one of the new minis, word is you better order as soon as they go on sale if you want one before 2014.

I wonder if they'll increase Prime anytime soon. Going from $79 to $99/year seems realistic. I use it so much I'd pay twice that

Time for the annual haiku t-shirt contest How to enter: just reply to this thread with a Black Friday-themed haiku. For those unfamiliar with it, a haiku is a 3-line poem with the first, second and third lines having 5, 7 and 5 syllables respectively. It does not have to rhyme, but should create some kind of imagery in the reader's head, so be creative! An example Black Friday haiku would be: people skipping lines (5 syllables) crashing carts into others (7 syllables) glad i stay at home (5 syllables) Limit one entry per member (although you can post as many haikus as you'd like). Entries will be accepted until 9pm ET on Sunday night. At that point I'll randomly choose 5 entries and those members will receive Black Friday t-shirts! I can definitely see some people shopping from 8pm until midnight or 1am and then they are tired and don't bother going out on Friday at all.

Pretty much all the questions you answer change from store-to-store and year-to-year. For example, Walmart usually had most of their ad items online every year, then last year they decided to only have a very small amount. Some stores are better able to handle the traffic. Others, aren't. Same with if you can keep items in your cart ahead of time. Some stores let you, others won't. And just because it worked last year doesn't mean it'll work this year. The deals start Wednesday night (sometimes even Tuesday night). As always, we'll have complete coverage, our Online Tracker which shows times when sales are supposed to start, etc...
