And the winner (chosen at random via random.org) is... drum-roll please... Bopeep The randomly selected winning post was this one in one of the many contest threads we had this year. Bopeep had 70 entries in the contest. There were 1,807 total valid entries for the contest this year (basically all non-deleted posts in this forum except for my posts and posts in the 2 prize club threads). Congrats and Bopeep please check your PMs to claim your prize. If the prize is not claimed by January 31, 2023 it will be forfeited.

Forgot to post this on the 1st but we closed November at 80 members which I believe is our largest first month total ever. I'm going to put the over/under for members at the end of the year at 50 lol. Good luck to everyone. 42 of you already have posted for December.

As we always do, let's have this thread for you to share what deals you scored, both online and in stores, as well as any experiences you feel like sharing about the online or in-store shopping process this year. Also, if you went to any physical brick & mortar stores, let the rest of us know how that went. What day, how big were the crowds, etc.
-
I'm still trying to add as many paper Black Friday ads as possible to add to my archive. Got the newspaper yesterday and aside from a few (Macy's, Meijer, Dollar General) there weren't many included despite many sales starting yesterday. They may not even exist this year, but if anyone has paper copies of the bigger stores' ads (the usual suspects - Target, Kohl's, etc.) send me a PM. Or if you see any in stores, grab me a copy and let me know. Hopefully more show up in Thursday's newspaper but we'll see I guess. Paper BF ads are an endangered species.

Ad finally updated with prices

Black Friday basically doesn't exist anymore. It's just a marketing term that retailers overuse. "Black Friday deal" = "please consider this deal that we have during October/November a better deal than our normal trash deals the rest of the year". Walmart's running commercials about their "Black Friday" sales that start on... Mondays. There are almost no deals that will become available this Friday for the first time. Most of the big sales went live today/last night and I don't think most people outside of our bubble here realize it. Today is as close to the "old" Black Friday as we're going to get. Stores should be packed but I'm guessing they aren't.

That's for Best Buy and since they didn't have an ad to type up, there are just general category links as a filler for that store.
