I have purchased only one gift....lounge pants for my son....that's it. Christmas is only 3 weeks away and I haven't started nor do I feel like it.

My husbands b-day falls Nov. 30th and the BF deals were for him.

Just wanted to know if anybody else is waiting to start or if they just don't feel like starting.

The shopping is 95% done but the decorating is just beginning. :yuck: I've been putting up the tree today and swearing that it will be retired after this year. Every branch has to be individually fluffed and hooked onto the trunk. When each layer is done, it's time to battle with the light strings. It's only half done and then I can do the more fun but still time consuming hanging of ornaments. I still have to do the mantel, finish the front door, put up a tree in the breezeway and decorate the dining room. My goal is to finish by Monday. Haha.

Christmas is Only "2" weeks away... :) I have pruchased everything (although I KEEP finding GREAT deals and BUYING MORE!) - but wrapping is NOW a BIG PROBLEM! I have way over 200 gifts to wrap and cookies to bake and entertaining to do - and UGGGGGGGGGGGGH! I am SO NOT READY!!!! :(

200? Wow. I don't think I've wrapped 200 in my lifetime (for Christmas anyway). And I wrapped ALL of the presents excluding my own when I was younger (gifts from my Mom to my Dad for example, etc.).

Yikes! Where do you store them all? :D

I'm not really ready. I haven't purchased everything, and I have some boxes in the garage that I have to open and wrap. I have to do it in increments though due to budget/bills, etc.

I've bought 75% of the boys' stuff. Nothing for dh yet. He finally said he wants a weight bench; before that I had no idea what to get him. Haven't tackled my nephews, ds' teacher, aide and bus driver either. I think that's everyone I'm buying for this year. I am stuck until Friday on spending money. It stinks to only get paid once a month, and I won't go into the savings for Christmas.

We're getting the tree tomorrow. About half the outside lights are up. I have decorations for inside all over the kitchen as I just found most of them today while cleaning out the garage. The fireplace is done though, as is the banister.

The cards aren't sent out or even bought yet. The pictures don't come back until this Thursday. I want to get the cards tomorrow and address them so they are ready to go Friday morning.

Time needs to slow down a little for me! Dh works 65+ hours a week, so he isn't a big help. I got a lot done on Thursday when he was off, and hopefully I can finish up the rest of the decorating tomorrow! Then, I can begin to think about wrapping.

oh, and 200 presents!!! OMG Good luck getting them all wrapped.

Well don't feel alone. We have 5 gifts under the tree and that is all I have bought. Shhh don't tell the kids they would flip if they knew I had not really started yet. I will probably do everything next weekend. Probably mostly on line. We do have our tree up and I have been making teachers gifts which I REALLY need to get done.

I am getting the presents bought, only I have officialy lost count on what I have bought for whom so when I wrap I will probably have to do more to even it up. I have said this on other threads but htis is the one time of year I splurge on the kids. I get them a lot of things I know they need (shoes clothes etc) and then some things I know they want.

Late last night the tree was almost completely assembled and the lights strung when I had one of those Christmas mysteries. Why, when I needed one more string of multi-colored lights, were there none to be found anywhere? And why are there five strings of clear lights left when I only need one or two more? Same tree for five years, same way of stringing the lights with multi-colors inside the tree and clear lights on the outer parts of the branches, all lights stored in the same container. Bought more today and will finally finish later tonight.
