Just announced an enhanced version with Dolbyvision support! This is fantastic news and if the trend continues we just may see it offered for the sales this year. The expected release date is October 15.

My daughter has a roku but I have not really played with it much. I have built ins o my TV's and firesticks on the other. I am interested to see if they will be on sale and I might just give them a try.

I think Target will have it as well.

No, that's the lower cost stripped-down LT version

Brad is absolutely correct. The LT  is an older model without Dolbyvision. I am currently trying out the new Chromecast with Google TV. So far, VUDU will not work in 4K. You have to go into the settings of the device to even get it to match content, otherwise it will not do 4K at all. Not a good start for them, but it may improve over time.

I’ve never been a fan of chrome cast. I just use Fire TV, Roku and Apple TV (yes have multiple of all).

I wanted to try the recast but the low resolution and bad reviews have put me off.
