Hmm, I think this will hurt Walmart's bottom line. At least Amazon is offsetting some of this with their Prime Membership fees.

I think Walmart could offer Vudu + free shipping + member events (early access to BF prices when the Walmart card is used)  + free layaway + free money orders + a cash back card to compete with Prime.  Rooting for Walmart in this bout.

I miss Walmart's Saving Catcher (the old one)! I could accumulate a lot of $$ to spend on Black Friday with all the grocery shopping we do! I guess taking it away is one way they can offset the price of the 1-day shipping.

i was thinking the same thing, since it ended on the very day they made this announcement. And ditto on the savings. I would rack up and have a good chunk to spend there on black Friday.
