Problems with yankee candle coupons

Today I was in yankee candle for the sale and to use my $10.00 off of a $25.00 purchase and when all of my items were rung up I was told by the cashier that yankee was no longer honoring those coupons on sale items, I was shocked, as I have NEVER had a problem using a coupon there before. I was told it was a new policy so I just wanted to give a heads up to anyone who might be interested and to see if anyone else has encountered this problem recently.

I just used my coupon on the 29th on sale items and they took it with no problems.

I had the same problem. We need to boycott them. I only buy yankee candles but I will stop, dont need then that bad.

I used my coupon yesterday and all I got were the sale items.

I think it all depends on the store. I am always able to use mine at my favorite store. But when I went to a different store I was told that I couldn't use it on sale items. And this was last year too...so I don't think it is something new. I take it as the manager at my store wants to move the merchandise out of the store.

There is only 1 yankee candle within 100 miles of me and its the 1 i've always shopped at, so needless to say I was very disappointed.I think I will go in today or tomarrow and try again and see what happens.

For our store, it depends on the coupon (b/c some of the coupons actually state "no valid on sale items").

That's when I buy the candles on sale, and use the coupon for other merchandise.

I use them at BB&B and they will NOT accept them when you are purchasing sale items

I just got an email yesterday for a coupon that is $10 off $50 and it can be used on the sale items it says on the coupon.
