mugs Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 I noticed that they have the 25% off coupons a lot. Anyone know when the next one is coming up?
mrn8 Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 End of July is the end of their quarter, so I would say wait until that time, if you can.
mugs Posted June 25, 2005 Author Posted June 25, 2005 Looks like they haven't had anything better than 25% off in a long time:http://www.gottadeal.com/dell.php?category=camcorders Also looks like another one will be coming out very soon.
RossMAN Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 Hopefully it will be soon as the end of quarter is nearing. Which model(s) are you considering?
mugs Posted June 25, 2005 Author Posted June 25, 2005 Elura 80, 85 or 90... I'm honestly not sure what the difference between them is other than the zoom.
RossMAN Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 http://www.camcorderinfo.com/compare.php For some reason the Elura 80 is listed twice but you can compare specs for all 3 models side by side.
mugs Posted June 25, 2005 Author Posted June 25, 2005 It seems the main substantive differences are that the 90 has a built-in light, a better night-shot mode, longer max focal distance, microphone jack, more zoom. The light would definitely be nice.
Brad Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 Next 25% off coupon comes tomorrow, along with some stackable $-off coupons: http://dell.gottadeal.com
mugs Posted June 27, 2005 Author Posted June 27, 2005 SCORE!!! So if they had 25% off and $60 off $500, would it be: $699 * .75 = $524.25 - $60 = $464.25 OR $699 - $60 = $639 * .75 = $479.25 ? Either way, sweet deal! :)
Brad Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 The first (and better) way is the way it's done. %-off coupons first, then the $-off is taken off the rest. Looks like you got yourself a deal. Now just wait until 8am CT tomorrow :)
Brad Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 Brandon, which model are you looking to buy?By the price he gave in the coupon equation, I'm guessing the Elura 90.
mugs Posted June 27, 2005 Author Posted June 27, 2005 Yeah, the Elura 90. Any accessories I should pick up right off the bat besides an extra battery and some tapes? Already have a firewire cable. I suppose we'll need a bag. Jenni has a tripod/monopod.
brynnfromtheblock Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 Not sure if he has any Canon batteries, but I just got a 4hour camcorder battery for my new Panasonic PV-GS65 (which I love by the way) from a guy on EBAY for twenty bucks (Panasonic, not the generic version). I never order from HongKong because I hear so many horror stories but this guy had the following rating: the-battery Feedback Score: 2720 Positive Feedback: 99.0% Member since Sep-01-03 in Hong Kong he'd been around a while and had positive feedback so I figured for 20 bucks I'd give it a try since they were more expensive every where else, it arrived quickly and exactly as promised.
