ElCid2002 Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Help! My phone broke and I'm mid-contract so they want an insane amount to replace it. Anyone know where I can find a basic unlocked phone cheap?! Thanks!!!
conj Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 post a request on your local freecycle board. there are people like me who save our old phones incase something happens...
freesia39 Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 You can also try ebay or craigslist, but make sure the ESN is clear.

sherril Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 idk if Verizon does it but we have AT&T and my phone broke. I went to WM and got one of the prepaid phones and just put my Sim card in it and it works perfectly! 14.95 is what I paid for the cheap one idk how much the Verizon cheap ones are.

I'm not sure if buying a Verizon prepaid phone and trying to activate it on your account will work.
persse3 Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 try this site, it may be your answer http://www.cellswapper.com/Has anyone ever used this? I am looking to get a new phone but am not going to use my cell that much so I just wanted something short, so if its not worth it I don't have to worry about being stuck in a long contract. Right now I have a prepaid just because I use it maybe 3 days a week. But my minutes are going to expire soon and I wanted to get a new phone anyways.
