I was just thinking about how I usually have left over giftcards with about $2 or less on them and I usually just throw them away.

So I figured, why not start a thread where people can post and share those left over amounts with people on here who might be buying from that website?

I wish I had one to post right now, but like I said, I usually throw all the left over change away...

I don't throw them out... I either use them next time or hand them to the person behind me in line... you throw them out? really?

If I am out shopping and a gift card has less than $2 I give it to the next person in line.

If I am on-line I ususally try to find something, like upgraded shipping cost, that will use the difference. Even if I spend and extra $1 it is better than throwing away gift card with a balance.

I think there is already a thread for this type of giving/trading on this board. Sorry I can't remember the name but I'm sure someone will know.

I have handfuls of gift cards for restaurants. We get them as incentives from work and it is really frustrating keeping up with what's left on them. I finally started carrying a sharpie and writing on the back what's left.

I have a Best Buy GC with .12 left on it and a McDonalds GC with .02 but I am not tossing, if I see a penny on the ground I will pick it up so I will use these the next time I am at that place, it will cover part of tax. The frustrating thing about McD GC (Arch card) is that you can't reload them unless they are empty. So I have 2 both linked to my uPromise acct that I take turns emptying and reloading

i always use every cent off of my gc. i usually take all of those weird gc amounts to walmart and give them each one until all the balances are gone and then pay any difference. never had a problem.
