DaveSimmons Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Great deal, user reviews on AVSForum.com are positive for a cheap recorder. Only drawback (true of most recorders under $200) is that audio is recorded as mpeg layer 2 instead of PCM or Dolby 2.0 so some DVD players (2+ years old) won't play the audio.
Brad Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 It's hard to believe DVD recorders are now reaching the sub-$100 range. Seems like they just started coming out not that long ago. Must have been ages ago that I paid $299 for my first Toshiba SD-2109 DVD player from 800.com
