mscott22 Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I need a digital camera, what is a good to look for. thanks for any suggestions.
trob67 Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 It may help to know what you are interested in shooting...is it just a point and shoot you want or a SLR where you can remove and change the lens etc.. if you want just a point and shoot, we are very happy with the two cannons we bought as gifts. i590 powershot has excellent reviews..... read about any camera at dpreview.com for more info. I had a kodak I loved but the camera broke 2 months after warranty...never owned another since. We are on our 3rd slr digital camera (we upgrade) and we have now bought the mentioned point and shoot for two others.
nat1jen Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I had a Kodak camera and hated it. We now own 3 Canon Powershots and love them. :) They are great little cameras and are easy to use. I have purchased each Canon from amazon. Their deals have been just as good as any store.
trob67 Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 try dell.com we just got a 8mp and 4gb chip for $134....may have only been a christmas deal but who knows. ..
debbieshops2003 Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 I have two cameras. I have the Digital Canon Rebel which I LOVE LOVE LOVE. It is GREAT for the kids sports. It takes pictures fast. But it cost about $700. And we have the telephoto lens. So it is bigger but really nice to have and takes GREAT pictures. Especially for the kids school programs and awards ceremonies. And we have a Canon SD1100. It is a cute little camera that you can take with you anywhere because it is tiny. It takes pictures pretty fast. It also comes in Silver, pink, blue, brown and I'm not sure but there may be other colors out there too. It is about $159.00 http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Canon-PowerShot-SD1100-IS-8-Megapixel-Digital-Camera-Bohemian-Brown-SD1100IS/sem/rpsm/oid/205811/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do http://www.circuitcity.com/IMAGE/product/detail/can/PC.CAN.SD1100ISBROWN.CN.JPG It all depends on what you are looking for. But I'm VERY happy with Canon.
