abentley Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 I always try to gather fun ideas for the next holiday season while enjoying this one, and I am thinking about the gourmet type caramel/chocolate /candy covered apples for gifts for teachers, neighbors, employees( + hopefully bonuses) friends and such. I figured one apple per person per family. Maybe one of the apple slicer/corers to go along with it. What do you think? Would it be a good idea?
KiriJoan Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Sounds cute to me. Another thing you might consider would be mini apple treats. If you take a melon baller (or anything like that) you can just little rounds out of the apples, put lollipop sticks in the little pieces and coat them as you would a normal candy/carmel apple. These are one-bite treats which are nice because sometimes those big apples are difficult to eat. You can buy mini-cupcake paper cups to hold them in and put 6 different ones in little bags or cans and give those away. The down fall is they go bad faster so you'd have to give them away quickly. Here's some more info on it:http://www.ehow.com/how_2159760_mini-caramel-apples.html
Gray04 Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Ohh, love this idea! Gonna print it out so I do not forget by next year! LOL I tried doing the Gourmet Popcorn for a swap gift last weekend. I did chocolate/pb, they came out yummy! Will expand the idea next year.
