Kwyjibo3637 Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 My family has been discussing what to do for christmas as far as gifts go, and it seems to be that they would like to do something like white elephant..but real gifts and not gag gifts.. the problem with this is the interests are pretty divided in the family..the ages range from 50s all the way down to 10..so obviously it would be challenging to figure something out that would be good for everyone. so does anyone have any ideas for things we could maybe do, similar to white elephant without the gag part?
hockeyfanamo Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 I think a music exchange could work nicely. It would be a way for the family members to share what they like and open minds to genres outside of their normal listening habits.
vsa3janes Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Wow! that is a hard one with such a wide age range. Maybe you could do a white elephant type exchange for everyone under 18 and another for those over. Then it might be easier to find something for the age range. Gift cards seem to always be welcome no matter the age. We are going to do a white elephant exchange at work without gag gifts just a limit of $5 or under. We are using the left/right story instead of rolling dice for the actual exchange. Good luck.
shopping mom Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Board games or puzzles will fit most people in this age group. You could also do movie tickets in one of those pop corn holders (dollar spot from Target) along with some movie box candy.
