Here is the poll we will use to determine the charities that will split the donations from the "Deals for Charity" giveaway.

You can vote for more than one charity, so if there are a couple that you would like to vote for, feel free.

The poll will remain open until the end of June at which point the chosen charities will be announced.

USO to support the troops and deployed family members. It is really a joy to go to one of their shows when you are so far from home.

Not to mention all the support you get around the world when traveling.

Plug for the March of Dimes and Shriners!

When voting keep in mind that these two charities help disabled children get the medical help their parents can't otherwise afford.

I don't think many of you know that my youngest child, Mike (he's 13) has Cerebral Palsy and uses a walker and leg/foot braces to get around, he's also developmentally disabled. But he's a great kid and is currently in 6th grade and is integrated with the "regular" kiddies half the time!

Braces for feet cost $1,200 every time he grows, so about two pair a year.

Walkers are custom made and run around $750.

Keep that in mind when you are making your choices above, those two charities help parents who don't have insurance afford these delightful and incredible children's durable medical equipment they desperately need to be independant!

Just a note that if anyone already voted and for some reason later wants to add a vote for one or more additional charities, just PM me or RossMAN and we'll take care of it.

They are all great charities. As long as the money is used to help someone in need, no matter what the reason, it makes me happy. :)

I need to give to charity more than I do.

If anyone wants to do some kind of matching on your own - kind of like a pledge drive, feel free. Even if it's a few cents per deal or something, every little bit helps.

My company does a complete match for charities up to $2000 I think. Wonder if that could be of use?

The top 3 vote-getters were:

American Cancer Society

American Red Cross

Juvenile Diabetes Foundation International

Those 3 charities will split our total donation.

We will have more donations in the future and for those we'll choose from the remaining charities as well as any new ones suggested by our members.

Do we disqualify those three orgs above, so we can give other orgs a chance? I think that would be the right thing to do, so we can help spread the love around a bit more...
