Jannabear
I ended up having to buy mine on Ebay and for a new (never-opened) DVD it was a bit more than I wanted to spend. It's a shame that you can't even rent this anymore at my local Blockbuster. I guess people don't watch the classics like they used to

debbieshops2003
I wanted to get this for my niece. I haven't been able to find it either. I started buying the Wizard of Oz dolls for her and wanted to get her the movie. Last year it was everywhere but I thought she was too young. Now I have all the dolls for her and thought she is old enough now and I can't find it. Last year they had it at Target and in the Avon catalog. And now, I can't find it anywhere. Let me know if you have any luck. I'll keep looking.

debbieshops2003
I've checked everywhere. Last year they had it all over. I don't know why it would be so hard to find. I thought it was a classic and would out there some where. If anybody finds it PLEASE POST!!!

How exciting! I can't belive it! Thanks for sharing that info. I searched the Target website last week and didn't see that. I want to get it for my niece. Her birthday is January. I wonder when in 2009 it will come out. Oh well, I guess if it doesn't come out for a while it will give me time to find the rest of the dolls I need to complete the set. Then I can give it all to her for Christmas next year. Now there is planning.

peppysfireball
There is something up with this movie.i was in my local movie rental store last week and a girl was asking for it. the owner made a comment about something being done and it was now too expensive to buy for a movie rental. she had them rent the vcr copy. I've bben watching old movies on dish and burning to dvd with my dvd burner.it's not the best, but at least i can watch it again. I'll ask her today when I'm in there what is up with the Wizard of Oz being so expensive. If it is, that's why stores like Walmart aren't carrying it.
