Text to talk and sd card slot for upgrades. It is refurbished but still has the Tomtom warrantee. At the time of posting the link the price was $119. So what do you think?
guilliam Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Hmm... is this the same one? http://www.amazon.com/TomTom-ONE-XL-Widescreen-Refurbished/dp/B000XABAG0/ref=pd_cp_e_2?pf_rd_p=413863501&pf_rd_s=center-41&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00181DFMA&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=12JYYEQ9MRSDQ889AWWY I'm not good at determining differences Just saw that they have the same Name etc.
krissy72 Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 No, the one you posted does not have a sd card slot for upgrades. It has 1gb internal memory but I worry that if i have it a long time 1gb won't be enough. Also the one you posted does not have text to speech.
heatherbade Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 I have heard NEVER to buy a TomTom. So I bought a Garmin 205 shipped from Sears for $123.
nikkilugi Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 I prefer my Garmin :) I like that they have all of their main operations in the US including their customer service. Returns and rework are also located in their headquarters here in the US (Olathe KS to be exact, LOL). You can find Garmins with MP3 players, bluetooth capability, etc. What kind of upgrades are you looking to do that would be more than 1gig?
dbr913 Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 I have heard NEVER to buy a TomTom. So I bought a Garmin 205 shipped from Sears for $123.I have a Tom-Tom Go 720 and I absolutely love it. It was very easy to use right out of the box, when I received it as a Christmas gift last year. My husband has a Garmin Nuvi 200, it's in his work vehicle, it is much more difficult to use right out of the box. Actually, we reached our destination after driving around for over half an hour looking for the spot before I figured out how to use the Garmin. When I upgrade, I will look at buying another TomTom, luckily GPS devices, as a whole, are much, much cheaper now.
