Penelope Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 I went by our local goodwill and they had flyers at the cash register stating: Super One Day Sale Labor Day Sept. 1st at 9am 50% off all merchandise excluding all new merchandise and hot pink tickets All stores are open 9am to 8pm. You may want to check with your local goodwill to see if they are having the sale. Our flyer just listed the stores in teh Sacramento area.
jcarr492 Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 Our goodwill is awful near here. I can't stand going in that store..its like a huge funky garage sale with OVERPRICED clothes. We went last week looking for little teacups for dd8's bday party and my mom bought a shirt and pair of shorts...11.xx!!!! The shirt was 4.19! It was faded and pilled. She still bought them! I just shook my head. That shirt would have sold in my garage sale for .50...not 4.00. LOL
elena_398 Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 I stopped going there. Their prices are ridiculous. They seem to forget their store is based on donated clothing items... $12 for a pair of used jeans is ridiculous. I don't care what brand. $4-$6 for shirts.
jnorris28 Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 our goodwill had 75% off summer stuff like sandals, shorts, capris, sundresses and a few other things this weekend. i got 3 pairs of capris and a pair of shoes for $1.50 each. if you watch the sales and use the coupons for 50% one item that our goodwill frequently puts out, you can do fairly well. over the past year and a half i have lost over 50lbs and it is a lot easier paying 6.99 for jeans and 4.49 for shirts when you know you wont be wearing them long. :)
Ragsmeow Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 I've never seen any kind of sale at my local Goodwill...never...and I shop there all the time.
santaclaus Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Last time I was in our Goodwill Store, I spotted a Dollar Tree puzzle, used. They wanted $2 for it.
MelissaS Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 The Goodwill stores around here all smell inside and they are disorganized. I can't even stomach going inside.
tokanm Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 We do not even have Goodwill stores here. We have Salvation Army stores (dirty and very overpriced) and we have St. Vincent DePaul stores which are clean and organized and very cheap. We have some Savers near here..I went there once it was ok
dantegirl Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Ours here was only 50% off clothing. Oh, well....
